Restoration of Israel
1. The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2. Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
2. Ainsi parle l`Éternel, le Dieu d`Israël: Écris dans un livre toutes les paroles que je t`ai dites.
2. Izao no lazain' i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely hoe: Soratinao amin' ny boky ny teny rehetra izay efa nolazaiko taminao.
3. For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
3. "Voici, les jours viennent, dit l`Éternel, où je ramènerai les captifs de mon peuple d`Israël et de Juda, dit l`Éternel; je les ramènerai dans le pays que j`ai donné à leurs pères, et ils le posséderont."

4. And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5. For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

6. Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
6. Informez-vous, et regardez si un mâle enfante! Pourquoi vois-je tous les hommes les mains sur leurs reins, Comme une femme en travail? Pourquoi tous les visages sont-ils devenus pâles?

7. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
7. "Malheur! car ce jour est grand; Il n`y en a point eu de semblable. C`est un temps d`angoisse pour Jacob; Mais il en sera délivré."
7. "Indrisy! fa lehibe izany andro izany, ka tsy misy tahaka azy; fotoan' ny fahorian' i Jakoba izany; nefa ho voavonjy ho afaka amin' izany ihany izy."
8. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
8. En ce jour-là, dit l`Éternel des armées, Je briserai son joug de dessus ton cou, Je romprai tes liens, Et des étrangers ne t`assujettiront plus.
8. Ary izao no hiseho amin' izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah, Tompon' ny maro, hotapahiko ny ziogany ho afaka amin' ny vozonao ary hotosako ny fatoranao ary ny vahiny tsy hampanompo azy intsony.
9. But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
9. Ils serviront l`Éternel, leur Dieu, Et David, leur roi, que je leur susciterai.

10. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
10. "Et toi, mon serviteur Jacob, ne crains pas, dit l`Éternel; Ne t`effraie pas, Israël! Car je te délivrerai de la terre lointaine, Je délivrerai ta postérité du pays où elle est captive; Jacob reviendra, il jouira du repos et de la tranquillité, Et il n`y aura personne pour le troubler."
10. "Koa aza matahotra ianao, ry Jakoba mpanompoko, hoy Jehovah; ary aza mivadi-po, ry Isiraely, fa indro, hovonjeko avy any lavitra ianao ary ny taranakao avy any amin' ny tanin' izay nahababo azy; dia hiverina Jakoba ka hiadana sy handry fahizay, ka tsy hisy hampitahotra azy."
11. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
11. "Car je suis avec toi, dit l`Éternel, pour te délivrer; J`anéantirai toutes les nations parmi lesquelles je t`ai dispersé, Mais toi, je ne t`anéantirai pas; Je te châtierai avec équité, Je ne puis pas te laisser impuni."
11. "Fa momba anao hamonjy anao Aho, hoy Jehovah; koa na dia levoniko aza ny firenena rehetra izay nampielezako anao, ianao tsy mba holevoniko; nefa kosa mba hanariko araka ny antonony ihany ianao, fa tsy dia havelako fotsiny tsy faizina."
12. For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.
12. Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Ta blessure est grave, Ta plaie est douloureuse.
12. Fa izao no lazain' i Jehovah: tsy mety sitrana ny faharatrànao, ary manaintaina ny ferinao.
13. There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
13. "Nul ne défend ta cause, pour bander ta plaie; Tu n`as ni remède, ni moyen de guérison."
13. Tsy misy mandahatra ny adinao mba hamehezana ny ferinao ary tsy misy fanafody mahasitrana anao.
14. All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased.
14. "Tous ceux qui t`aimaient t`oublient, Aucun ne prend souci de toi; Car je t`ai frappée comme frappe un ennemi, Je t`ai châtiée avec violence, A cause de la multitude de tes iniquités, Du grand nombre de tes péchés."

15. Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
15. Pourquoi te plaindre de ta blessure, De la douleur que cause ton mal? C`est à cause de la multitude de tes iniquités, Du grand nombre de tes péchés, Que je t`ai fait souffrir ces choses.
15. "Nahoana ianao no mitaraina noho ny fahorianao? Tsy mety sitrana ny alahelonao noho ny habetsahan' ny helokao; satria nihamaro ny fahotanao, dia nanao izany zavatra izany taminao Aho."
16. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
16. "Cependant, tous ceux qui te dévorent seront dévorés, Et tout tes ennemis, tous, iront en captivité; Ceux qui te dépouillent seront dépouillés, Et j`abandonnerai au pillage tous ceux qui te pillent."
16. "Koa izay rehetra mihinana anao, dia mba hohanina; ary ny tsirairay avy amin' ny fahavalonao rehetra dia ho lasan-ko babo; ary izay mamabo anao dia hobaboina, ary izay rehetra mihaza anao dia hatolotro ho haza."
17. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
17. Mais je te guérirai, je panserai tes plaies, Dit l`Éternel. Car ils t`appellent la repoussée, Cette Sion dont nul ne prend souci.
17. "Fa hampodiko aminao ny fahasalamanao ary hositraniko amin' ny faharatranao ianao, hoy Jehovah; noho ny nanaovany anao hoe: ilay noroahina, sy hoe: Ziona tsy misy mpitady ity."
18. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
18. "Ainsi parle l`Éternel: Voici, je ramène les captifs des tentes de Jacob, J`ai compassion de ses demeures; La ville sera rebâtie sur ses ruines, Le palais sera rétabli comme il était."
18. "Izao no lazain' i Jehovah: Indro, hampodiko avy amin' ny fahababoana indray ny lain' i Jakoba, ary ny fonenany dia hamindrako fo; ka ny tanàna dia haorina eo amin' ny antontam-batony ihany ary ny lapan' andriana hitoetra eo amin' izay nisy azy teo aloha."
19. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
19. "Du milieu d`eux s`élèveront des actions de grâces Et des cris de réjouissance; Je les multiplierai, et ils ne diminueront pas; Je les honorerai, et ils ne seront pas méprisés."
19. "Ary hisy fisaorana sy feon' ny mifaly avy ao; dia hohamaroiko izy ka tsy ho vitsy, ary hanome voninahitra azy Aho, ka tsy ho kely izy."
20. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
20. Ses fils seront comme autrefois, Son assemblée subsistera devant moi, Et je châtierai tous ses oppresseurs.

21. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
21. "Son chef sera tiré de son sein, Son dominateur sortira du milieu de lui; Je le ferai approcher, et il viendra vers moi; Car qui oserait de lui-même s`approcher de moi? Dit l`Éternel."
21. "Ary ireo olo-malazany dia ho avy ao aminy ihany, ary ny mpanapaka azy dia ho avy ao aminy ihany koa; ary hampanakaiky azy Aho, ka dia hanatona Ahy izy; fa iza no sahy hanolotra ny fony hanatona Ahy? hoy Jehovah."
22. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
22. Vous serez mon peuple, Et je serai votre Dieu.
22. Ary ianareo ho oloko, ary Izaho ho Andriamanitrareo.
23. Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
23. Voici, la tempête de l`Éternel, la fureur éclate, L`orage se précipite, Il fond sur la tête des méchants.
23. Indro, ny tadion' i Jehovah mivoaka amin' ny fahatezerana, dia tadio mitambolimbolina, hiantonta hampanaintaina amin' ny lohan' ny ratsy fanahy izany.
24. The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
24. La colère ardente de l`Éternel ne se calmera pas, Jusqu`à ce qu`il ait accompli, exécuté les desseins de son coeur. Vous le comprendrez dans la suite des temps.
24. "Ny firehetan' ny fahatezeran' i Jehovah tsy ho afaka ambara-panefany izany sy ambara-panatanterany ny fikasan' ny fony; ho fantatrareo izany any amin' ny andro farany."
