Chapter 49
1. Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
1. (49:1) Au chef des chantres. Des fils de Koré. Psaume. (49:2) Écoutez ceci, vous tous, peuples, Prêtez l`oreille, vous tous, habitants du monde,
1. "[Ho an' ny mpiventy hira. Salamo ho an' ny zanak' i Kora.] MANDRENESA izao, ry firenena rehetra; mihainoa, ry mponina rehetra amin' izao tontolo izao:"
2. Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
2. (49:3) Petits et grands, Riches et pauvres!
2. Na ny ambany, na ny ambony, na ny manankarena na ny mahantra.
3. My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
3. (49:4) Ma bouche va faire entendre des paroles sages, Et mon coeur a des pensées pleines de sens.
3. "Ny vavako hiteny fahendrena; ary ny fieritreretan' ny foko dia fahalalana."
4. I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
4. (49:5) Je prête l`oreille aux sentences qui me sont inspirées, J`ouvre mon chant au son de la harpe.
4. Hanongilana ny sofiko hihaino oha-teny aho, ary hanonona teny saro-pantarina ampiarahiko amin' ny harpa.
5. Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
5. (49:6) Pourquoi craindrais-je aux jours du malheur, Lorsque l`iniquité de mes adversaires m`enveloppe?
5. Nahoana no hatahotra amin' ny andro fahoriana aho, nony manodidina ahy ny haratsian' ny mpamingana ahy?
6. They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
6. (49:7) Ils ont confiance en leurs biens, Et se glorifient de leur grande richesse.
6. "Ireo izay matoky ny hareny sy mirehareha amin' ny haben' ny fananany;"
7. None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
7. (49:8) Ils ne peuvent se racheter l`un l`autre, Ni donner à Dieu le prix du rachat.
7. "Tsy misy mahavotra ny rahalahiny akory, na mahazo manome an' Andriamanitra izay avony;"
8. (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
8. "(49:9) Le rachat de leur âme est cher, Et n`aura jamais lieu;"
8. (Fa sarobidy ny fanavotana ny fanahiny ka hitoetra mandrakizay izany).
9. That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.
9. (49:10) Ils ne vivront pas toujours, Ils n`éviteront pas la vue de la fosse.
9. Mba ho velona mandrakizay izy ka tsy ho tratry ny fahalovana.
10. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
10. (49:11) Car ils la verront: les sages meurent, L`insensé et le stupide périssent également, Et ils laissent à d`autres leurs biens.
10. "Fa hita fa maty ihany ny olon-kendry; ary ny adala sy ny ketrina samy levona ka mamela ny fananany ho an' ny hafa."
11. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
11. (49:12) Ils s`imaginent que leurs maisons seront éternelles, Que leurs demeures subsisteront d`âge en âge, Eux dont les noms sont honorés sur la terre.
11. "Araka ny heviny, dia ataony fa ho mandrakizay ny tranony, ary ny fonenany hahatratra ny taranaka rehetra; araka ny anarany no anononany ny taniny."
12. Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
12. (49:13) Mais l`homme qui est en honneur n`a point de durée, Il est semblable aux bêtes que l`on égorge.
12. "Nefa na dia manana voninahitra aza ny olona, dia tsy maharitra izy; tahaka ny biby izay ho faty izy."
13. This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.
13. (49:14) Telle est leur voie, leur folie, Et ceux qui les suivent se plaisent à leurs discours. -Pause.
13. Izany làlany izany no fahadalany: ary ny taranany dia mankasitraka ny teniny.[Sela.]
14. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
14. "(49:15) Comme un troupeau, ils sont mis dans le séjour des morts, La mort en fait sa pâture; Et bientôt les hommes droits les foulent aux pieds, Leur beauté s`évanouit, le séjour des morts est leur demeure."
14. "Tahaka ny fanangona ondry no fanangona azy any amin' ny fasana; ny fahafatesana no hihinana azy; ary hanapaka azy ny mahitsy nony maraina; ary ny bikany ho levona any amin' ny fasana fonenany."
15. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
15. (49:16) Mais Dieu sauvera mon âme du séjour des morts, Car il me prendra sous sa protection. -Pause.
15. Fa Andriamanitra kosa hamonjy ahy amin' ny herin' ny fasana, satria handray ahy izy.[Sela.]
16. Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
16. "(49:17) Ne sois pas dans la crainte parce qu`un homme s`enrichit, Parce que les trésors de sa maison se multiplient;"
16. "Aza matahotra ianao, raha misy olona tonga manankarena, ka mitombo ny voninahitry ny tranony;"
17. For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
17. (49:18) Car il n`emporte rien en mourant, Ses trésors ne descendent point après lui.
17. "Fa tsy hitondra na inona na inona izy, raha maty; tsy mba hidina hanaraka azy ny voninahiny."
18. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
18. (49:19) Il aura beau s`estimer heureux pendant sa vie, On aura beau te louer des jouissances que tu te donnes,
18. Na dia niarahaba tena aza izy fony mbola velona, (fa hidera anao ny olona, raha manisy soa ny tenanao ianao,)
19. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
19. (49:20) Tu iras néanmoins au séjour de tes pères, Qui jamais ne reverront la lumière.
19. Dia hankany amin' ny razany izy, tsy hahita ny mazava intsony mandrakizay ireny.
20. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
20. (49:21) L`homme qui est en honneur, et qui n`a pas d`intelligence, Est semblable aux bêtes que l`on égorge.
20. Dia hankany amin' ny razany izy, tsy hahita ny mazava intsony mandrakizay ireny.
Chapter 50
1. The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
1. Psaume d`Asaph. Dieu, Dieu, l`Éternel, parle, et convoque la terre, Depuis le soleil levant jusqu`au soleil couchant.
1. [Salamo nataon' i Asafa.] ANDRIAMANITRA mahery, dia Jehovah no niteny, ka niantso ny tany hatramin' ny fiposahan' ny masoandro ka hatramin' ny filentehany.
2. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
2. De Sion, beauté parfaite, Dieu resplendit.
2. Avy ao Ziona, izay tanteraka amin' ny fahatsaran-tarehy, no amirapiratan' Andriamanitra.
3. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
3. "Il vient, notre Dieu, il ne reste pas en silence; Devant lui est un feu dévorant, Autour de lui une violente tempête."
3. "Ho avy Andriamanitsika ka tsy hangina; afo no handevona eo anoloany, ary tafio-drivotra mahery no hanodidina azy."
4. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
4. Il crie vers les cieux en haut, Et vers la terre, pour juger son peuple:
4. Hiantso ny lanitra any ambony izy sy ny tany koa, mba hitsarany ny olony.
5. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
5. Rassemblez-moi mes fidèles, Qui ont fait alliance avec moi par le sacrifice! -
5. Angony ety amiko ny oloko masina, izay manao fanekena amiko amin' ny fanatitra.
6. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
6. Et les cieux publieront sa justice, Car c`est Dieu qui est juge. -Pause.
6. "Hasehon' ny lanitra ny fahamarinany; fa Andriamanitra no Mpitsara.[Sela.]"
7. Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
7. "Écoute, mon peuple! et je parlerai; Israël! et je t`avertirai. Je suis Dieu, ton Dieu."
7. "Mihainoa, ry oloko, fa hiteny aho; ry Isiraely ô, fa hanambara aminao Aho; Izaho no Andriamanitra, dia Andriamanitrao."
8. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
8. "Ce n`est pas pour tes sacrifices que je te fais des reproches; Tes holocaustes sont constamment devant moi."
8. Tsy ny fanatitrao no hananarako anao, na ny fanatitra doranao izay efa eo anatrehako mandrakariva.
9. I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
9. Je ne prendrai pas de taureau dans ta maison, Ni de bouc dans tes bergeries.
9. "Tsy haka vantotr' ombilahy amin' ny tranonao aho, na osilahy amin' ny valanao;"
10. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
10. "Car tous les animaux des forêts sont à moi, Toutes les bêtes des montagnes par milliers;"
10. Fa ahy ny biby rehetra any an' ala, sy ny biby eny an-kavoana arivoarivo.
11. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
11. Je connais tous les oiseaux des montagnes, Et tout ce qui se meut dans les champs m`appartient.
11. "Fantatro ny voro-manidina rehetra eny an-tendrombohitra; Ahy ny biby dia rehetra any an-tsaha."
12. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
12. Si j`avais faim, je ne te le dirais pas, Car le monde est à moi et tout ce qu`il renferme.
12. "Raha mba noana aho, dia tsy hilaza aminao; fa Ahy izao tontolo izao sy izay rehetra eo aminy."
13. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
13. Est-ce que je mange la chair des taureaux? Est-ce que je bois le sang des boucs?
13. Hihinana ny nofon' ombilahy va aho, na hisotro ny ràn' osilahy?
14. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
14. Offre pour sacrifice à Dieu des actions de grâces, Et accomplis tes voeux envers le Très Haut.
14. "Manatera fanati-pisaorana ho an' Andriamanitra; ary efao amin' ny Avo Indrindra ny voadinao;"
15. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
15. "Et invoque-moi au jour de la détresse; Je te délivrerai, et tu me glorifieras."
15. Ary antsoy Aho amin' ny andro fahoriana, dia hamonjy anao Aho, ka hanome voninahitra Ahy ianao.
16. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
16. Et Dieu dit au méchant: Quoi donc! tu énumères mes lois, Et tu as mon alliance à la bouche,
16. Fa amin' ny ratsy fanahy kosa dia hoy Andriamanitra: Ahoana no itorianao ny lalàko sy itondranao ny fanekeko eo am-bavanao?
17. Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth my words behind thee.
17. Toi qui hais les avis, Et qui jettes mes paroles derrière toi!
17. Fa mankahala fananarana ianao, ary arianao eo ivohonao ny teniko.
18. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
18. Si tu vois un voleur, tu te plais avec lui, Et ta part est avec les adultères.
18. Raha mahita mpangalatra ianao dia mifanaiky aminy, ary miray anjara amin' ny mpijangajanga.
19. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
19. Tu livres ta bouche au mal, Et ta langue est un tissu de tromperies.
19. Alefanao hiteny ratsy ny vavanao, ary mamorom-pitaka ny lelanao.
20. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
20. Tu t`assieds, et tu parles contre ton frère, Tu diffames le fils de ta mère.
20. Mipetraka sy miteny manohitra ny rahalahinao ianao, sady manaratsy ny zanakalahin-dreninao.
21. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
21. "Voilà ce que tu as fait, et je me suis tu. Tu t`es imaginé que je te ressemblais; Mais je vais te reprendre, et tout mettre sous tes yeux."
21. Izany no nataonao, nefa nangina ihany Aho, ka dia nataonao fa mitovy aminao ihany Aho! fa hananatra anao Aho ka handahatra izany eo imasonao.
22. Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
22. Prenez-y donc garde, vous qui oubliez Dieu, De peur que je ne déchire, sans que personne délivre.
22. "Mihevera izany ankehitriny, ianareo izay manadino an' Andriamanitra, fandrao hamiravira Aho ka tsy misy hamonjy;"
23. Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
23. Celui qui offre pour sacrifice des actions de grâces me glorifie, Et à celui qui veille sur sa voie Je ferai voir le salut de Dieu.
23. "Izay manatitra fanati-pisaorana no manome voninahitra ahy; ary izay mitandrina ny lalany no hanehoako ny famonjen' Andriamanitra."
Chapter 51
1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
1. "(51:1) Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David. (51:2) Lorsque Nathan, le prophète, vint à lui, après que David fut allé vers Bath Schéba. (51:3) O Dieu! aie pitié de moi dans ta bonté; Selon ta grande miséricorde, efface mes transgressions;"
1. "[Ho an' ny mpiventy hira. Salamo nataon' i Davida, fony Natana mpaminany nankao aminy, rehefa naka an' i Batseba izy.] MAMINDRÀ fo amiko, Andriamanitra ô, araka ny indrafonao; araka ny haben' ny fiantranao vonoy ny fahadisoako."
2. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
2. (51:4) Lave-moi complètement de mon iniquité, Et purifie-moi de mon péché.
2. Sasao madio aho mba ho afa-keloka, ary diovy aho mba ho afa-pahotana.
3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
3. (51:5) Car je reconnais mes transgressions, Et mon péché est constamment devant moi.
3. Fa tsaroako ny fahadisoako, ary eo anatrehako mandrakariva ny fahotako.
4. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
4. (51:6) J`ai péché contre toi seul, Et j`ai fait ce qui est mal à tes yeux, En sorte que tu seras juste dans ta sentence, Sans reproche dans ton jugement.
4. "Taminao dia taminao ihany no nanotako, ary nanao izao ratsy izao teo imasonao aho; mba ho marina Ianao raha miteny, ary tsy hanan-tsiny ianao raha mitsara."
5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
5. (51:7) Voici, je suis né dans l`iniquité, Et ma mère m`a conçu dans le péché.
5. Indro, tamin' ny heloka no niterahana ahy, ary tamin' ny fahotana no torontoronina ahy ny reniko.
6. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
6. (51:8) Mais tu veux que la vérité soit au fond du coeur: Fais donc pénétrer la sagesse au dedans de moi!
6. "Indro, fahamarinana ao am-po no sitrakao; ary fahendrena ao amin' ny miafina no ampahafantarinao ahy."
7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
7. "(51:9) Purifie-moi avec l`hysope, et je serai pur; Lave-moi, et je serai plus blanc que la neige."
7. "Diovy amin' ny hysopa aho, dia hadio; sasao aho, dia ho fotsy noho ny orampanala."
8. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
8. (51:10) Annonce-moi l`allégresse et la joie, Et les os que tu as brisés se réjouiront.
8. Ampandreneso fifaliana sy faharavoravoana aho, hifalian' ny taolako izay voavakivakinao.
9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
9. (51:11) Détourne ton regard de mes péchés, Efface toutes mes iniquités.
9. Afeno ny tavanao ny fahotako, ary vonoy ny heloko rehetra.
10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
10. (51:12) O Dieu! crée en moi un coeur pur, Renouvelle en moi un esprit bien disposé.
10. "Amoròny fo madio aho, Andriamanitra ô; ary havaozy ho fanahy marina ny ato anatiko."
11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
11. (51:13) Ne me rejette pas loin de ta face, Ne me retire pas ton esprit saint.
11. "Aza manary ahy hiala eo anatrehanao; ary aza manaisotra ny Fanahinao Masina amiko."
12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
12. (51:14) Rends-moi la joie de ton salut, Et qu`un esprit de bonne volonté me soutienne!
12. "Ampodio amiko ny fifalian' ny famonjenao; ary tohàno fanahy mazoto aho."
13. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
13. (51:15) J`enseignerai tes voies à ceux qui les transgressent, Et les pécheurs reviendront à toi.
13. "Dia hampianatra ny olon-diso ny lalanao aho; ary ny mpanota hampiverenina aminao."
14. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
14. (51:16) O Dieu, Dieu de mon salut! délivre-moi du sang versé, Et ma langue célébrera ta miséricorde.
14. "Afaho amin' ny valin-drà aho, Andriamanitra ô, Andriamanitry ny famonjena ahy; ary hihira mafy ny fahamarinanao ny lelako."
15. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
15. (51:17) Seigneur! ouvre mes lèvres, Et ma bouche publiera ta louange.
15. Tompo ô, sokafy ny molotro, dia hanambara ny fiderana anao ny vavako.
16. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
16. "(51:18) Si tu eusses voulu des sacrifices, je t`en aurais offert; Mais tu ne prends point plaisir aux holocaustes."
16. "Fa tsy fanatitra no sitrakao, raha izany, dia ho nomeko ihany; ny fanatitra dorana tsy mahafaly anao."
17. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
17. (51:19) Les sacrifices qui sont agréables à Dieu, c`est un esprit brisé: O Dieu! tu ne dédaignes pas un coeur brisé et contrit.
17. "Ny fanatitra ho an' Andriamanitra dia fanahy torotoro; ny fo torotoro sy mangorakoraka, Andriamanitra ô, tsy mba hataonao tsinontsinona."
18. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
18. (51:20) Répands par ta grâce tes bienfaits sur Sion, Bâtis les murs de Jérusalem!
18. "Manaova soa amin' i Ziona araka ny sitraponao tsara; ataovy ny mandan' i Jerosalema."
19. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
19. "(51:21) Alors tu agréeras des sacrifices de justice, Des holocaustes et des victimes tout entières; Alors on offrira des taureaux sur ton autel."
19. "Dia ho sitrakao ny fanati-pahamarinana sy ny fanatitra dorana ary ny fanatitra levonina amin' ny afo; dia hanatitra vantotr' ombilahy eo amin' ny alitaranao ny olona."
