To Us a Child Is Born

5. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
5. (9:4) Car toute chaussure qu`on porte dans la mêlée, Et tout vêtement guerrier roulé dans le sang, Seront livrés aux flammes, Pour être dévorés par le feu.

6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
6. "(9:5) Car un enfant nous est né, un fils nous est donné, Et la domination reposera sur son épaule; On l`appellera Admirable, Conseiller, Dieu puissant, Père éternel, Prince de la paix."
6. "Fa Zaza no teraka ho antsika, Zazalahy no omena antsika; ary ny fanapahana dia ho eo an-tsorony, ary ny anarany hatao hoe: Mahagaga, Mpanolo-tsaina, Andriamanitra Mahery, Ray mandrakizay, Andrian' ny Fiadanana."
7. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
7. (9:6) Donner à l`empire de l`accroissement, Et une paix sans fin au trône de David et à son royaume, L`affermir et le soutenir par le droit et par la justice, Dès maintenant et à toujours: Voilà ce que fera le zèle de l`Éternel des armées.
7. The LORD's Anger Against Israel
8. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
8. (9:7) Le Seigneur envoie une parole à Jacob: Elle tombe sur Israël.

10. The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.
10. "(9:9) Des briques sont tombées, Nous bâtirons en pierres de taille; Des sycomores ont été coupés, Nous les remplacerons par des cèdres."

11. Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

13. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
13. (9:12) Le peuple ne revient pas à celui qui le frappe, Et il ne cherche pas l`Éternel des armées.
13. Fa ny olona tsy miverina amin' Izay mamely azy, eny, Jehovah, Tompon' ny maro tsy mba tadiaviny.
14. Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
14. (9:13) Aussi l`Éternel arrachera d`Israël la tête et la queue, La branche de palmier et le roseau, En un seul jour.
14. Ka dia hofongoran' i Jehovah amin' ny Isiraely indray andro monja ny loha sy ny rambo, ny sampan-drofia sy ny zozoro,
15. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
15. (9:14) (L`ancien et le magistrat, c`est la tête, Et le prophète qui enseigne le mensonge, c`est la queue.)
15. "Ny loholona sy ny manankaja no loha, ary ny mpaminany izay mampianatra lainga no rambo;"
16. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
16. (9:15) Ceux qui conduisent ce peuple l`égarent, Et ceux qui se laissent conduire se perdent.
16. Fa ny mpitarika ity firenena ity no tonga mpampivily azy, ary izay tarihiny dia ringana.
17. Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
17. "(9:16) C`est pourquoi le Seigneur ne saurait se réjouir de leurs jeunes hommes, Ni avoir pitié de leurs orphelins et de leurs veuves; Car tous sont des impies et des méchants, Et toutes les bouches profèrent des infamies. Malgré tout cela, sa colère ne s`apaise point, Et sa main est encore étendue."
17. "Ary noho izany dia tsy mahafaly an' i Jehovah ny zatovony, ary ny kamboty sy ny mpitondratena ao aminy dia tsy iantrany; fa samy mpihatsaravelatsihy sy mpanao ratsy izy, ary ny vava rehetra mamoaka teny fahadalana. Kanefa na dia izany rehetra izany aza, dia tsy mbola afaka ihany ny fahatezerany, fa mbola mihinjitra ihany ny tanany."
18. For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.
18. "(9:17) Car la méchanceté consume comme un feu, Qui dévore ronces et épines; Il embrase l`épaisseur de la forêt, D`où s`élèvent des colonnes de fumée."

19. Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.
19. "(9:18) Par la colère de l`Éternel des armées le pays est embrasé, Et le peuple est comme la proie du feu; Nul n`épargne son frère."
19. "Noho ny fahatezeran' i Jehovah, Tompon' ny maro, dia efa maintin' ny afo ny tany, ary ny olona dia tahaka ny kitay atohoka amin' ny afo; tsy misy olona miantra ny rahalahiny."
20. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
20. "(9:19) On pille à droite, et l`on a faim; On dévore à gauche, et l`on n`est pas rassasié; Chacun dévore la chair de son bras."
20. "Ary handripaka eny ankavanana izy, nefa noana ihany; ary handany eny an-kavia izy, nefa tsy voky ihany; samy hihinana ny nofon-tsandriny avy izy rehetra:"
21. Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
21. (9:20) Manassé dévore Éphraïm, Éphraïm Manassé, Et ensemble ils fondent sur Juda. Malgré tout cela, sa colère ne s`apaise point, Et sa main est encore étendue.
21. Eny, Manase hihinana an' i Efraima, ary Efraima kosa hihinana an' i Manase, ary izy roa tonta dia hiara-hamely an' iJoda. Kanefa, na dia izany rehetra izany aza, dia tsy mbola afaka ihany ny fahatezerany, fa mbola mihinjitra ihany ny tanany.
