Idolatry in the Temple
1. And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.
1. La sixième année, le cinquième jour du sixième mois, comme j`étais assis dans ma maison, et que les anciens de Juda étaient assis devant moi, la main du Seigneur, de l`Éternel, tomba sur moi.
1. Ary izao no niseho, tamin' ny andro fahadimy tamin' ny volana fahenina tamin' ny taona fahenina, raha nipetraka tao an-tranoko aho ary nipetraka teo anatrehako ny loholon' ny Joda, dia nilatsaka tamiko ny tanan' i Jehovah Andriamanitra.
2. Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.
2. "Je regardai, et voici, c`était une figure ayant l`aspect d`un homme; depuis ses reins en bas, c`était du feu, et depuis ses reins en haut, c`était quelque chose d`éclatant, comme de l`airain poli."
2. "Ary hitako fa, indro, nisy nitarehin' afo; hatramin' ny valahany no ho midina dia afo; ary hatramin' ny valahany no ho miakatra kosa dia nitarehin-java-mamirapiratra, dia toy ny volon' ny metaly mamirapiratra."
3. And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
3. Il étendit une forme de main, et me saisit par les cheveux de la tête. L`esprit m`enleva entre la terre et le ciel, et me transporta, dans des visions divines, à Jérusalem, à l`entrée de la porte intérieure, du côté du septentrion, où était l`idole de la jalousie, qui excite la jalousie de l`Éternel.
3. Ary nisy nitarehin-tanana nahinjiny, ka noraisiny tamin' ny voloko aho, dia nanainga ahy ny Fanahy ho eny anelanelan' ny tany sy ny lanitra ka nitondra ahy ho any Jerosalema tamin' ny fahitana avy amin' Andriamanitra, ho eo amin' ny vavahadin' ny kianja anatiny izay manatrika ny avaratra, dia ilay nisy ny sarin-javatra mampahasaro-piaro, izay mampahasaro-piaro.
4. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
4. Et voici, la gloire du Dieu d`Israël était là, telle que je l`avais vue en vision dans la vallée.
4. Ary, indro, teo ny voninahitr' Andriamanitry ny Isiraely tahaka ilay fahitana efa hitako teo amin' ny lohasaha.
5. Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
5. "Il me dit: Fils de l`homme, lève les yeux du côté du septentrion! Je levai les yeux du côté du septentrion; et voici, cette idole de la jalousie était au septentrion de la porte de l`autel, à l`entrée."
5. Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Ry zanak' olona, atopazy kely amin' ny lalana mianavaratra ny masonao. Dia natopiko tamin' ny lalana mianavaratra ny masoko, ka, indro, eny avaratry ny vavahadin' ny alitara no nisy ilay sarin-javatra fampahasaro-piaro teo amin' ny fidirana.
6. He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
6. Et il me dit: Fils de l`homme, vois-tu ce qu`ils font, les grandes abominations que commet ici la maison d`Israël, pour que je m`éloigne de mon sanctuaire? Mais tu verras encore d`autres grandes abominations.
6. Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Ry zanak' olona, hitanao va izay ataon' ireo, dia ny fahavetavetana lehibe izay ataon' ny taranak' Isiraely eto ka mampanalavitra Ahy amin' ny fitoerako masina? Fa mitodiha indray ianao, dia mbola hahita fahavetavetana lehibe kokoa ianao.
7. And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.
7. Alors il me conduisit à l`entrée du parvis. Je regardai, et voici, il y avait un trou dans le mur.
7. Dia nentiny ho eo amin' ny vavahadin' ny kianja aho, ary rehefa nijery aho, dia hitako fa indro, nisy loaka teo amin' ny ampiantany.
8. Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
8. Et il me dit: Fils de l`homme, perce la muraille! Je perçai la muraille, et voici, il y avait une porte.
8. "Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Ry zanak' olona, loahy ny ampiantany; dia noloahako ny ampiantany, ka, indro, nisy varavarana."
9. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
9. Et il me dit: Entre, et vois les méchantes abominations qu`ils commettent ici!
9. Ary hoy Izy tamiko: Midira, ka jereo ny fahavetavetana lehibe ataony eto.
10. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
10. "J`entrai, et je regardai; et voici, il y avait toutes sortes de figures de reptiles et de bêtes abominables, et toutes les idoles de la maison d`Israël, peintes sur la muraille tout autour."
10. Dia niditra aho ka nahita, ary indreo, nisy sarin' ny biby mandady sy mikisaka rehetra sy ny biby hafa, dia izay fahavetavetana sy ny sampy rehetra an' ny taranak' Isiraely, voasoratra teo amin' ny rindrina manodidina.
11. And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
11. Soixante-dix hommes des anciens de la maison d`Israël, au milieu desquels était Jaazania, fils de Schaphan, se tenaient devant ces idoles, chacun l`encensoir à la main, et il s`élevait une épaisse nuée d`encens.
11. Ary nisy olona fitopolo lahy, isan' ny loholon' ny taranak' Isiraely, nitsangana teo anoloan' ireo, ary Jazania, zanak' i Safana, nitsangana teo afovoany, samy nitondra ny loviany fandoroana ditin-kazo manitra teny an-tanany avy, ary ny setroka matevin' ny ditin-kazo manitra dia niakatra.
12. Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
12. Et il me dit: Fils de l`homme, vois-tu ce que font dans les ténèbres les anciens de la maison d`Israël, chacun dans sa chambre pleine de figures? Car ils disent: L`Éternel ne nous voit pas, l`Éternel a abandonné le pays.
12. "Ary hoy Izy tamiko: Ry zanak' olona, efa hitanao va ny ataon' ny loholon' ny taranak' Isiraely amin' ny maizina, dia samy ao amin' ny efitranony misy sary? Fa hoy izy: Jehovah tsy mahita anay; efa nahafoy ny tany Izy."
13. He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
13. Et il me dit: Tu verras encore d`autres grandes abominations qu`ils commettent.
13. Ary hoy koa Izy tamiko: Mitodiha indray ianao: mbola hahita fahavetavetana lehibe kokoa izay ataony ianao.
14. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
14. Et il me conduisit à l`entrée de la porte de la maison de l`Éternel, du côté du septentrion. Et voici, il y avait là des femmes assises, qui pleuraient Thammuz.
14. "Dia nentiny ho eo anoloan' ny vavahadin' ny tranon' i Jehovah, izay manatrika ny avaratra aho; ary, indreo, nisy vehivavy nipetraka teo, nitomany an' i Tamoza."
15. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
15. Et il me dit: Vois-tu, fils de l`homme? Tu verras encore d`autres abominations plus grandes que celles-là.
15. Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Hitanao va izany, ry zanak' olona? Mitodiha indray ianao fa mbola hahita fahavetavetana lehibe kokoa noho izao aza ianao.
16. And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
16. "Et il me conduisit dans le parvis intérieur de la maison de l`Éternel. Et voici, à l`entrée du temple de l`Éternel, entre le portique et l`autel, il y avait environ vingt-cinq hommes, tournant le dos au temple de l`Éternel et le visage vers l`orient; et ils se prosternaient à l`orient devant le soleil."
16. "Dia nentiny ho eo amin' ny kianja anatiny amin' ny tranon' i Jehovah aho, ary, indro, teo am-baravaran' ny tempolin' i Jehovah, dia teo anelanelan' ny lavarangana fidirana sy ny alitara, dia nisy tokony ho dimy amby roapolo lahy niamboho ny tempolin' i Jehovah ka nanatrika ny atsinanana; ary ireo dia niankohoka nanandrify ny masoandro, nanatrika ny atsinanana."
17. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
17. Et il me dit: Vois-tu, fils de l`homme? Est-ce trop peu pour la maison de Juda de commettre les abominations qu`ils commettent ici? Faut-il encore qu`ils remplissent le pays de violence, et qu`ils ne cessent de m`irriter? Voici, ils approchent le rameau de leur nez.
17. "Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Hitanao va izany, ry zanak' olona? Moa ataon' ny taranak' i Joda ho kely loatra va ny nanaovany ny fahavetavetana izay ataony eto, no fenoiny fampahoriana koa ny tany, ka mampahatezitra Ahy lalandava izy; ary indro izy nanainga ny rantsan-kazo ho amin' ny orony,"
18. Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
18. "Moi aussi, j`agirai avec fureur; mon oeil sera sans pitié, et je n`aurai point de miséricorde; quand ils crieront à haute voix à mes oreilles, je ne les écouterai pas."
18. "Noho izany Izaho koa dia hamely amin' ny fahatezerako; tsy hiantra ny masoko sady tsy hamindra fo Aho; ary na dia mitaraina mafy eo an-tsofiko aza izy, dia tsy hihaino azy Aho."
