Idolaters Killed

2. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.

2. Et voici, six hommes arrivèrent par le chemin de la porte supérieure du côté du septentrion, chacun son instrument de destruction à la main. Il y avait au milieu d`eux un homme vêtu de lin, et portant une écritoire à la ceinture. Ils vinrent se placer près de l`autel d`airain.

2. "Ary, indreo, nisy lehilahy enina avy tamin' ny lalana mankamin' ny vavahady ambony, izay manatrika ny avaratra, sady samy nitondra ny fiasàny fanorotoroana teny an-tanany avy izy; ary ny anankiray tamin' ireo dia nitafy rongony fotsy, sady nisy fitoeran-dranomaintin' ny mpanoratra teo am-balahany; ary niditra izy ireo ka nitsangana teo anilan' ny alitara varahina."

3. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;

3. "La gloire du Dieu d`Israël s`éleva du chérubin sur lequel elle était, et se dirigea vers le seuil de la maison; et il appela l`homme vêtu de lin, et portant une écritoire à la ceinture."

3. Ary ny voninahitr' Andriamanitry ny Isiraely efa niakatra niala teo amin' ny kerobima izay nitoerany, ho eo amin' ny tokonam-baravaran' ny trano, ary izy niantso ilay olona nitafy rongony fotsy, izay nisy fitoeran-dranomaintin' ny mpanoratra teo am-balahany.

4. And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

4. L`Éternel lui dit: Passe au milieu de la ville, au milieu de Jérusalem, et fais une marque sur le front des hommes qui soupirent et qui gémissent à cause de toutes les abominations qui s`y commettent.

4. Ary hoy Jehovah taminy: Mandehana mamaky ny tanàna, dia Jerosalema, ka asio marika ny handrin' ny olona izay misento sy mitaraina noho ny fahavetavetana rehetra atao eo aminy.

5. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

5. "Et, à mes oreilles, il dit aux autres: Passez après lui dans la ville, et frappez; que votre oeil soit sans pitié, et n`ayez point de miséricorde!"

5. "Ary reko izy nanao tamin' ny sasany hoe: Mandehana manaraka azy ianareo hamaky ny tanàna ka mameleza; aoka tsy hiantra ny masonareo ary aza mamindra fo."

6. Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

6. "Tuez, détruisez les vieillards, les jeunes hommes, les vierges, les enfants et les femmes; mais n`approchez pas de quiconque aura sur lui la marque; et commencez par mon sanctuaire! Ils commencèrent par les anciens qui étaient devant la maison."

6. "Fa na lahy antitra, na zatovo, na virijina, na zaza madinika, na vehivavy, dia aringano avokoa; fa izay olona misy ilay marika ihany no aza kasihina; ary atombohy hatreo amin' ny fitoerako masina izany. Dia nanomboka tamin' ny lahy antitra izay teo anoloan' ny trano ireo."

7. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

7. Il leur dit: Souillez la maison, et remplissez de morts les parvis!... Sortez!... Ils sortirent, et ils frappèrent dans la ville.

7. "Ary hoy Izy taminy: Lotoy ny trano, ary fenoy faty ny kianja; dia mivoaha ianareo.Ary dia nivoaka izy ka namely ny tao an-tanàna."

8. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

8. Comme ils frappaient, et que je restais encore, je tombai sur ma face, et je m`écriai: Ah! Seigneur Éternel, détruiras-tu tout ce qui reste d`Israël, en répandant ta fureur sur Jérusalem?

9. Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.

9. "Il me répondit: L`iniquité de la maison d`Israël et de Juda est grande, excessive; le pays est rempli de meurtres, la ville est pleine d`injustice, car ils disent: L`Éternel a abandonné le pays, l`Éternel ne voit rien."

9. Dia hoy Izy tamiko: Lehibe dia lehibe ny heloky ny taranaky ny Isiraely sy ny Joda, ary feno ràn' olona nalatsaka ny tany sady feno faharatsiana ny tanàna, satria hoy izy: Jehovah efa nahafoy ny tany ary Jehovah tsy mahita.

10. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.

10. "Moi aussi, je serai sans pitié, et je n`aurai point de miséricorde; je ferai retomber leurs oeuvres sur leur tête."

11. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.

11. Et voici, l`homme vêtu de lin, et portant une écritoire à la ceinture, rendit cette réponse: J`ai fait ce que tu m`as ordonné.

11. Ary, indro, ralehilahy, ilay nitafy rongony fotsy sady nisy fitoeran-dranomainty teo am-balahany, dia nitondra teny niverina nanao hoe: Efa vitako izay nandidianao ahy.
