The Death of Nadab and Abihu
1. And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
1. "Les fils d`Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, prirent chacun un brasier, y mirent du feu, et posèrent du parfum dessus; ils apportèrent devant l`Éternel du feu étranger, ce qu`il ne leur avait point ordonné."
1. Ary Nadaba sy Abiho, zanakalahin' i Arona samy naka ny fitondran' afony avy ka nanisy afo teo anatiny ary nanisy ditin-kazo manitra teo, dia nanatitra afo tsy izy teo anatrehan' i Jehovah, izay tsy nandidiany azy.
2. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
2. Alors le feu sortit de devant l`Éternel, et les consuma: ils moururent devant l`Éternel.
2. Ary nisy afo nivoaka avy teo anatrehan' i Jehovah ka nandevona azy ireo, dia maty teo anatrehan' i Jehovah ireo.
3. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
3. Moïse dit à Aaron: C`est ce que l`Éternel a déclaré, lorsqu`il a dit: Je serai sanctifié par ceux qui s`approchent de moi, et je serai glorifié en présence de tout le peuple. Aaron garda le silence.

4. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

5. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.
5. Ils s`approchèrent, et ils les emportèrent dans leurs tuniques hors du camp, comme Moïse l`avait dit.

6. And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Moïse dit à Aaron, à Éléazar et à Ithamar, fils d`Aaron: Vous ne découvrirez point vos têtes, et vous ne déchirerez point vos vêtements, de peur que vous ne mouriez, et que l`Éternel ne s`irrite contre toute l`assemblée. Laissez vos frères, toute la maison d`Israël, pleurer sur l`embrasement que l`Éternel a allumé.
6. "Ary hoy Mosesy tamin' i Arona ary tamin' i Eleazara sy Itamara, zanany lahy: Aza tsy manarona ny lohanareo, na mandriatra ny fitafianareo, fandrao maty ianareo sady hisy fahatezerana hahatratra ny olona rehetra; fa aoka ny rahalahinareo, dia ny ankohonan' ny Isiraely rehetra hitomany noho ny fahamaizana izay narehitr' i Jehovah."
7. And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
7. "Vous ne sortirez point de l`entrée de la tente d`assignation, de peur que vous ne mouriez; car l`huile de l`onction de l`Éternel est sur vous. Ils firent ce que Moïse avait dit."

8. And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying,

8. Ary Jehovah niteny tamin' i Arona nanao hoe:
9. Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
9. Tu ne boiras ni vin, ni boisson enivrante, toi et tes fils avec toi, lorsque vous entrerez dans la tente d`assignation, de peur que vous ne mouriez: ce sera une loi perpétuelle parmi vos descendants,
9. "Aza misotro divay na toaka ianao, na ny zanakalahinao miaraka aminao, raha miditra ao amin' ny tranolay fihaonana ianareo, fandrao maty ianareo; ho lalàna mandrakizay amin' ny taranakareo mifadimby izany;"
10. And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;
10. afin que vous puissiez distinguer ce qui est saint de ce qui est profane, ce qui est impur de ce qui est pur,
10. "Ary mba hahaizanareo manavaka ny masina sy ny tsy masina, ary ny madio sy ny tsy madio;"
11. And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

12. And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
12. Moïse dit à Aaron, à Éléazar et à Ithamar, les deux fils qui restaient à Aaron: Prenez ce qui reste de l`offrande parmi les sacrifices consumés par le feu devant l`Éternel, et mangez-le sans levain près de l`autel: car c`est une chose très sainte.
12. "Ary hoy Mosesy tamin' i Arona ary tamin' i Eleazara sy Itamara zanany lahy sisa: Alao ny fanatitra hohanina izay sisa amin' ny fanatitra natao tamin' ny afo, ka hano tsy misy lalivay eo anilan' ny alitara izany; fa masina indrindra izany."
13. And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
13. "Vous le mangerez dans un lieu saint; c`est ton droit et le droit de tes fils sur les offrandes consumées par le feu devant l`Éternel; car c`est là ce qui m`a été ordonné."
13. Ary hohaninareo eo amin' ny fitoerana masina izany, satria anjaranao izany sy anjaran' ny zanakalahinao avy amin' ny fanatitra atao amin' ny afo ho an' i Jehovah: fa izany no nandidiany ahy.
14. And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
14. "Vous mangerez aussi dans un lieu pur, toi, tes fils et tes filles avec toi, la poitrine qu`on a agitée de côté et d`autre et l`épaule qui a été présentée par élévation; car elles vous sont données, comme ton droit et le droit de tes fils, dans les sacrifices d`actions de grâces des enfants d`Israël."
14. "Ary ny tratrany ahevaheva sy ny sorony asandratra dia hohaninareo eo amin' ny toerana madio, dia ianao sy ny zanakalahinao sy ny zanakavavinao miaraka aminao; fa natao ho anjaranao sy anjaran' ny zanakalahinao, izay nomeny avy amin' ny soron' ny fanati-pihavanana avy amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely."
15. The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
15. Ils apporteront, avec les graisses destinées à être consumées par le feu, l`épaule que l`on présente par élévation et la poitrine que l`on agite de côté et d`autre devant l`Éternel: elles seront pour toi et pour tes fils avec toi, par une loi perpétuelle, comme l`Éternel l`a ordonné.
15. "Ny sorony asandratra sy ny tratrany ahevaheva mbamin' ny saborany izay fanatitra atao amin' ny afo dia hoentiny mba ahevaheva ho fanatitra ahevaheva eo anatrehan' i Jehovah; dia ho anao sy ny zanakalahinao miaraka aminao izany, amin' ny lalàna mandrakizay araka izay nandidian' i Jehovah."
16. And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,
16. "Moïse chercha le bouc expiatoire; et voici, il avait été brûlé. Alors il s`irrita contre Éléazar et Ithamar, les fils qui restaient à Aaron, et il dit:"
16. "Ary Mosesy nitady fatratra ny osilahy izay atao fanatitra noho ny ota, kanjo efa voadotra izany; dia tezitra tamin' ny zanakalahin' i Arona izay sisa velona izy ka nanao hoe:"
17. Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?
17. "Pourquoi n`avez-vous pas mangé la victime expiatoire dans le lieu saint? C`est une chose très sainte; et l`Éternel vous l`a donnée, afin que vous portiez l`iniquité de l`assemblée, afin que vous fassiez pour elle l`expiation devant l`Éternel."
17. Nahoana no tsy nohaninareo teo amin' ny fitoerana masina ny fanatitra noho ny ota, satria masina indrindra izany, ary efa nomen' Andriamanitra anareo izany hitondranareo ny heloky ny fiangonana hanaovana fanavotana ho azy eo anatrehan' i Jehovah?
18. Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
18. "Voici, le sang de la victime n`a point été porté dans l`intérieur du sanctuaire; vous deviez la manger dans le sanctuaire, comme cela m`avait été ordonné."
18. "Indro, ny rany tsy nampidirina tao anatin' ny fitoerana masina; tokony ho nihinana izany mihitsy teo amin' ny fitoerana masina ianareo, araka izay nandidiako."
19. And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?
19. "Aaron dit à Moïse: Voici, ils ont offert aujourd`hui leur sacrifice d`expiation et leur holocauste devant l`Éternel; et, après ce qui m`est arrivé, si j`eusse mangé aujourd`hui la victime expiatoire, cela aurait-il été bien aux yeux de l`Éternel?"
19. "Ary Arona niteny tamin' i Mosesy nanao hoe: Indro, androany no nanaterany ny fanatiny noho ny ota sy ny fanatitra dorana teo anatrehan' i Jehovah; ary efa azon' izao manjo izao aho, koa raha tàhiny nihinana ny fanatitra noho ny ota aho androany, moa ho nekena teo anatrehan' i Jehovah va izany?"
20. And when Moses heard that, he was content.
20. Moïse entendit et approuva ces paroles.
