Jeremiah Freed
1. The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
1. La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l`Éternel, après que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, l`eut envoyé de Rama. Quand il le fit chercher, Jérémie était lié de chaînes parmi tous les captifs de Jérusalem et de Juda qu`on emmenait à Babylone.
1. Izao no teny tonga tamin' i Jeremia avy tamin' i Jehovah, taorian' ny nandefasan' i Nebozaradana, lehiben' ny mpiambina azy niala tany Rama, tamin' ilay nampanalany azy fony izy mbola nigadra tao amin' ny babo rehetra avy tany Jerosalema sy Joda, izay nentina ho babo tany Babylona.
2. And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.
2. "Le chef des gardes envoya chercher Jérémie, et lui dit: L`Éternel, ton Dieu, a annoncé ces malheurs contre ce lieu;"
2. Ary ny lehiben' ny mpiambina dia naka an' i Jeremia ka nanao taminy hoe: Jehovah Andriamanitrao nanambara izao loza izao, izay nanjo ity tanàna ity.
3. Now the LORD hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.
3. l`Éternel a fait venir et a exécuté ce qu`il avait dit, et ces choses vous sont arrivées parce que vous avez péché contre l`Éternel et que vous n`avez pas écouté sa voix.
3. Ary Jehovah nahatonga izany ka nanao araka izay nolazainy, noho ny nanotanareo tamin' i Jehovah sy ny tsy nankatoavanareo ny feony, dia izany no nahatonga izao zavatra izao taminareo.
4. And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.
4. "Maintenant voici, je te délivre aujourd`hui des chaînes que tu as aux mains; si tu veux venir avec moi à Babylone, viens, j`aurai soin de toi; si cela te déplaît de venir avec moi à Babylone, ne viens pas; regarde, tout le pays est devant toi, va où il te semblera bon et convenable d`aller."
4. "Ary, indro, ankehitriny vahako izao ny gadra amin' ny tananao. Koa raha sitraky ny fonao kosa ny hiaraka amiko hankany Babylona, dia andeha, fa hotandremako tsara ianao, nefa raha tsy sitraky ny fonao ny hiaraka amiko ho any Babylona, dia mijanòna ihany; indro, ny tany rehetra dia eo anoloanao, koa izay tany tianao sy sitrakao no andehano."
5. Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
5. "Et comme il tardait à répondre: Retourne, ajouta-t-il, vers Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, fils de Schaphan, que le roi de Babylone a établi sur les villes de Juda, et reste avec lui parmi le peuple; ou bien, va partout où il te conviendra d`aller. Le chef des gardes lui donna des vivres et des présents, et le congédia."

Ary raha tsy mbola niverina izy, dia hoy Nebozaradana: Miverena indray any amin' i Gedalia, zanak' i Ahikama, zanak' i Safana izay notendren' ny mpanjakan' i Babylona ho mpanapaka ny tanànan' ny Joda, ka tomoera eo aminy ao amin' ny olona, na mandehana any amin' izay tianao haleha na aiza na aiza. 6. Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

7. Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away captive to Babylon;
7. Lorsque tous les chefs des troupes qui étaient dans les campagnes eurent appris, eux et leurs hommes, que le roi de Babylone avait établi gouverneur du pays Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, et qu`il lui avait confié les hommes, les femmes, les enfants, et ceux des pauvres du pays qu`on n`avait pas emmenés captifs à Babylone,
7. "Ary raha ren' ny mpifehy ny miaramila rehetra izay tany an-tsaha sy ny olom-peheziny fa ny mpanjakan' i Babylona efa nanendry an' i Gedalia zanak' i Ahikama, ho mpanapaka ny tany sy ho mpitandrina ny lehilahy mbamin' ny zaza amam-behivavy ary ny mahantra sasany teo amin' ny tany izay tsy lasan-ko babo tany Babylona ;"
8. Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
8. ils se rendirent auprès de Guedalia à Mitspa, savoir Ismaël, fils de Nethania, Jochanan et Jonathan, fils de Karéach, Seraja, fils de Thanhumeth, les fils d`Éphaï de Nethopha, et Jezania, fils du Maacatite, eux et leurs hommes.
8. Dia tonga tany amin' i Gedalia tany Mizpa izy, dia Isimaela, zanak' i Netania, sy Johanana sy Jonatana, zanak' i Karea, sy Seraia, zanak' i Tanometa, sy ny zanak' i Efay Netofatita ary Jazania, zanak' ilay Makatita, dia izy ireny sy ny olom-peheziny avy.
9. And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
9. "Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, fils de Schaphan, leur jura, à eux et à leurs hommes, en disant: Ne craignez pas de servir les Chaldéens; demeurez dans le pays, servez le roi de Babylone, et vous vous en trouverez bien."
9. "Ary Gedalia, zanak' i Ahikama, zanak' i Safana, dia nianiana taminy sy tamin' ny olom-peheziny nanao hoe: Aza matahotra hanompo ny Kaldeana; monena amin' ny tany, ka manompoa ny mpanjakan' i Babylona dia hahasoa anareo izany."
10. As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.
10. "Voici, je reste à Mitspa, pour être présent devant les Chaldéens qui viendront vers nous; et vous, faites la récolte du vin, des fruits d`été et de l`huile, mettez-les dans vos vases, et demeurez dans vos villes que vous occupez."
10. "Ary ny amiko, dia indro, honina eto Mizpa aho hanompo ny Kaldeana izay ho avy ety amintsika; fa ianareo dia manangòna divay sy voankazo masaka fahavaratra ary diloilo, ka ataovy ao amin' ny fitahirizanareo dia monena amin' ny tanànanareo izay nalainareo."
11. Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
11. Tous les Juifs qui étaient au pays de Moab, chez les Ammonites, au pays d`Édom, et dans tous les pays, apprirent que le roi de Babylone avait laissé un reste dans Juda, et qu`il leur avait donné pour gouverneur Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, fils de Schaphan.
11. Ary koa, ny Jiosy rehetra izay tany Moaba sy tany amin' ny taranak' i Amona sy tany Edoma ary izay tany amin' ny tany rehetra, nony nahare fa ny mpanjakan' i Babylona efa namela ny Joda hisy sisa sady efa nanendry an' i Gedalia, zanak' i Ahikama, zanak' i Safana, ho mpanapaka azy,
12. Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.
12. Et tous les Juifs revinrent de tous les lieux où ils étaient dispersés, ils se rendirent dans le pays de Juda vers Guedalia à Mitspa, et ils firent une abondante récolte de vin et de fruits d`été.
12. Dia niverina ny Jiosy rehetra avy tany amin' ny tany rehetra izay efa nandroahana azy ka tonga tany amin' ny tanin' ny Joda ho any amin' i Gedalia tao Mizpa, ka nanangona divay sy voankazo sesehena masaka fahavaratra izy.
13. Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
13. Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous les chefs des troupes qui étaient dans les campagnes, vinrent auprès de Guedalia à Mitspa,
13. Ary Johanana, zanak' i Karea, sy ny mpifehy ny miaramila rehetra izay tany an-tsaha dia tonga tany amin' i Gedalia tany Mizpa,
14. And said unto him, Dost thou certainly know that Baalis the king of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.
14. et lui dirent: Sais-tu que Baalis, roi des Ammonites, a chargé Ismaël, fils de Nethania, de t`ôter la vie? Mais Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, ne les crut point.
14. Ka nanao taminy hoe: Moa fantatrao tokoa va fa Balisa, mpanjakan' ny taranak' i Amona, dia naniraka an' Isimaela, zanak' i Netania, hamono anaoNefa tsy nino azy Gedalia, zanak' i Ahikama.
15. Then Johanan the son of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it: wherefore should he slay thee, that all the Jews which are gathered unto thee should be scattered, and the remnant in Judah perish?
15. Et Jochanan, fils de Karéach, dit secrètement à Guedalia à Mitspa: Permets que j`aille tuer Ismaël, fils de Nethania. Personne ne le saura. Pourquoi t`ôterait-il la vie? pourquoi tous ceux de Juda rassemblés auprès de toi se disperseraient-ils, et le reste de Juda périrait-il?
15. "Ary Johanana, zanak' i Karea, nilaza mangingina tamin' i Gedalia tao Mizpa nanao hoe: Masìna ianao, aoka aho handeha hamono an' Isimaela, zanak' i Netania, fa tsy hisy olona hahalala izany tsy akory; fa nahoana no havela hamono anao izy ka hampiely ny Jiosy rehetra izay tafangona eto aminao ary hahalany ringana ny sisa amin' ny Joda?"
16. But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.
16. "Guedalia, fils d`Achikam, répondit à Jochanan, fils de Karéach: Ne fais pas cela; car ce que tu dis sur Ismaël est faux."
16. Fa hoy Gedalia, zanak' i Ahikama, tamin' i Johanana, zanak' i Karea: Aza manao izany ianao, fa miampanga lainga foana an' Isimaela ianao.
