Sin, Confession and Redemption
1. Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
2. "Mais ce sont vos crimes qui mettent une séparation Entre vous et votre Dieu; Ce sont vos péchés qui vous cachent sa face Et l`empêchent de vous écouter."
2. Fa ny helokareo no efitra mampisaraka anareo amin' Andriamanitrareo, ary ny fahotanareo no mampiafina ny tavany aminareo, ka dia tsy mihaino Izy.
3. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
3. "Car vos mains sont souillées de sang, Et vos doigts de crimes; Vos lèvres profèrent le mensonge, Votre langue fait entendre l`iniquité."
3. "Fa ny tananareo dia voaloto amin' ny ra, ary ny rantsan-tananareo amin' ny heloka; ny molotrareo miteny lainga, ny lelanareo mibedibedy faharatsiana."
4. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
4. "Nul ne se plaint avec justice, Nul ne plaide avec droiture; Ils s`appuient sur des choses vaines et disent des faussetés, Ils conçoivent le mal et enfantent le crime."
4. "Tsy misy miantso ho amin' ny fahamarinana, na mandahatra ho an' ny rariny; matoky zava-poana sy miteny lainga izy; torontoronina fampahoriana izy ka miteraka heloka."
5. They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
5. "Il couvent des oeufs de basilic, Et ils tissent des toiles d`araignée. Celui qui mange de leurs oeufs meurt; Et, si l`on en brise un, il sort une vipère."
5. "Mikotrika ny atodin' ny menarana izy ary manenona ny tranon-kala; izay homana ny atodin' ireny dia ho faty, fa raha poritra iny, dia menarana no miporitsaka avy ao."
6. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
6. "Leurs toiles ne servent point à faire un vêtement, Et ils ne peuvent se couvrir de leur ouvrage; Leurs oeuvres sont des oeuvres d`iniquité, Et les actes de violence sont dans leurs mains."
6. Ny tranon-kalany tsy ho azo atao fitafiana, ary ny asany dia asan-keloka, ary asan-kerisetra no eo an-tanany.
7. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
7. "Leurs pieds courent au mal, Et ils ont hâte de répandre le sang innocent; Leurs pensées sont des pensées d`iniquité, Le ravage et la ruine sont sur leur route."
7. "Ny tongony miriotra ho amin' ny ratsy sy mimaona handatsaka rà marina; ny fisainany dia fisainan-keloka; fandravana sy fandringanana no eo amin' ny alehany."
8. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
8. "Ils ne connaissent pas le chemin de la paix, Et il n`y a point de justice dans leurs voies; Ils prennent des sentiers détournés: Quiconque y marche ne connaît point la paix. -"
8. "Ny lalan' ny fiadanana tsy fantany; ary tsy misy rariny ao amin' ny alehany; nanao lalana miolakolaka ho azy izy; ka na iza na iza mandia izany dia tsy hahita fiadanana."
9. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
9. "C`est pourquoi l`arrêt de délivrance est loin de nous, Et le salut ne nous atteint pas; Nous attendons la lumière, et voici les ténèbres, La clarté, et nous marchons dans l`obscurité."
9. "Ary noho izany dia lavitra antsika ny rariny, ary ny fahamarinana tsy mahatratra antsika; miandry ny mazava isika, nefa indro ny maizina, ary fahazavana, fa mbola ao amin' ny haizim-pito ihany no andehanantsika."
10. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
10. "Nous tâtonnons comme des aveugles le long d`un mur, Nous tâtonnons comme ceux qui n`ont point d`yeux; Nous chancelons à midi comme de nuit, Au milieu de l`abondance nous ressemblons à des morts."
10. "Mitsapatsapa manara-drindrina tahaka ny jamba isika. Eny, mitsapatsapa tahaka ny tsy mana-maso; tafintohina amin' ny mitataovovonana tahaka ny amin' ny maizimaizina isika; eo amin' ny toerana lao tahaka ny maty isika."
11. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
11. "Nous grondons tous comme des ours, Nous gémissons comme des colombes; Nous attendons la délivrance, et elle n`est pas là, Le salut, et il est loin de nous."
11. "Isika rehetra mampierona tahaka ny bera ary mitoloko tokoa tahaka ny voromailala; miandry ny rariny isika, nefa tsy misy, ary ny famonjena, nefa lavitra antsika izany."
12. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
12. "Car nos transgressions sont nombreuses devant toi, Et nos péchés témoignent contre nous; Nos transgressions sont avec nous, Et nous connaissons nos crimes."
12. "Fa efa betsaka eo anatrehanao ny fiodinanay, ary ny fahotanay miampanga anay; eny, tsaroanay ny fahadisoanay, ary ny helokay dia fantatray,"
13. In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
13. "Nous avons été coupables et infidèles envers l`Éternel, Nous avons abandonné notre Dieu; Nous avons proféré la violence et la révolte, Conçu et médité dans le coeur des paroles de mensonge;"
13. Dia ny miodina sy ny mandainga amin' i Jehovah, ary ny miala amin' ny fanarahana an' Andriamanitray, ny miteny fampahoriana sy fikomiana, ary ny torontoronina sy mamoaka teny lainga avy ao am-po.
14. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
14. "Et la délivrance s`est retirée, Et le salut se tient éloigné; Car la vérité trébuche sur la place publique, Et la droiture ne peut approcher."
14. "Nahemotra ny rariny, ary mijanon-davitra ny hitsiny; fa lavo eny an-kalalahana ny fahamarinana, ary ny hitsim-po tsy mahazo miditra."
15. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
15. La vérité a disparu, Et celui qui s`éloigne du mal est dépouillé. -L`Éternel voit, d`un regard indigné, Qu`il n`y a plus de droiture.
15. "Eny, tsy eo ny fahamarinana; ary izay miala amin' ny ratsy dia toy ny manolo-tena ho sambotra; ary hitan' i Jehovah izany ka tsy faly Izy noho ny tsy fisian' ny rariny."
16. And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
16. "Il voit qu`il n`y a pas un homme, Il s`étonne de ce que personne n`intercède; Alors son bras lui vient en aide, Et sa justice lui sert d`appui."
16. Ary hitany fa tsy nisy olona, sady talanjona Izy, satria tsy nisy mpanalalana, ka dia ny sandriny no nanao famonjena ho Azy, ary ny fahamarinany no nanohana Azy.
17. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
17. "Il se revêt de la justice comme d`une cuirasse, Et il met sur sa tête le casque du salut; Il prend la vengeance pour vêtement, Et il se couvre de la jalousie comme d`un manteau."
17. "Niakanjo fahamarinana tahaka ny akanjo fiarovan-tratra Izy, ary fiarovan-doha famonjena no eo amin' ny lohany; ary niakanjo ny akanjo famaliana Izy.Eny, nandray ny fahasaro-piaro ho akanjo ivelany Izy."
18. According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
18. "Il rendra à chacun selon ses oeuvres, La fureur à ses adversaires, La pareille à ses ennemis; Il rendra la pareille aux îles."
18. "Araka ny asa natao no hamaliany, dia fahatezerana mirehitra ho an' ny fahavalony; famaliana ho an' ny rafiny; ary ny nosy dia hovaliany tokoa."
19. So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
19. "On craindra le nom de l`Éternel depuis l`occident, Et sa gloire depuis le soleil levant; Quand l`ennemi viendra comme un fleuve, L`esprit de l`Éternel le mettra en fuite."
19. Ary hatrany andrefana dia hatahotra ny anaran' i Jehovah ny olona ary ny voninahiny hatramin' ny fiposahan' ny masoandro.Fa raha avy toy ny ony ny fahavalo, ny Fanahin' i Jehovah hanangana faneva hanakanana azy.
20. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
20. Un rédempteur viendra pour Sion, Pour ceux de Jacob qui se convertiront de leurs péchés, Dit l`Éternel.
20. Ary ho tonga ao Ziona ny Mpanavotra, dia ho amin' i Jakoba izay miala amin' ny fahadisoana, hoy Jehovah.
21. As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
21. Voici mon alliance avec eux, dit l`Éternel: Mon esprit, qui repose sur toi, Et mes paroles, que j`ai mises dans ta bouche, Ne se retireront point de ta bouche, ni de la bouche de tes enfants, Ni de la bouche des enfants de tes enfants, Dit l`Éternel, dès maintenant et à jamais.
21. Raha Izaho, dia izao no fanekeko aminy, hoy Jehovah: ny fanahiko Izay ao aminao sy ny teniko izay nataoko teo am-bavanao dia tsy hiala amin' ny vavanao, na amin' ny vavan' ny taranakao, na amin' ny vavan' ny taranaky ny taranakao, hatramin' izao ka ho mandrakizay, hoy Jehovah.
