2. Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

2. Josué, fils de Jotsadak, avec ses frères les sacrificateurs, et Zorobabel, fils de Schealthiel, avec ses frères, se levèrent et bâtirent l`autel du Dieu d`Israël, pour y offrir des holocaustes, selon ce qui est écrit dans la loi de Moïse, homme de Dieu.

2. Dia nitsangana i Jesoa, zanak' i Jozadaka sy ny mpisorona rahalahiny ary zerobabela, zanak' i Sealtiela sy ny rahalahiny ka nanorina ny alitaran' Andriamanitry ny isiraely hanaterana fanatitra dorana eo amboniny, araka izay voasoratra ao amin' ny lalàn' i Mosesy, lehilahin' Andriamanitra.

3. And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.

3. Ils rétablirent l`autel sur ses fondements, quoiqu`ils eussent à craindre les peuples du pays, et ils y offrirent des holocaustes à l`Éternel, les holocaustes du matin et du soir.

3. "Dia naoriny teo amin' ilay efa niorenany ihany ny alitara, satria natahotra ny tompon-tany izy; ary nanatitra fanatitra dorana teo amboniny ho an' i Jehovah izy, dia ny fanatitra dorana marain-tsy hariva."

4. They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;

4. Ils célébrèrent la fête des tabernacles, comme il est écrit, et ils offrirent jour par jour des holocaustes, selon le nombre ordonné pour chaque jour.

4. Ary nitandrina ny andro firavoravoan' ny tabernakely izy, araka ny voasoratra ary nanatitra ny fanatitra dorana isan' andro araka ny isany avy, tahaka ny fanao araka izay voatendry hatao isan' andro avy.

5. And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.

5. Après cela, ils offrirent l`holocauste perpétuel, les holocaustes des nouvelles lunes et de toutes les solennités consacrées à l`Éternel, et ceux de quiconque faisait des offrandes volontaires à l`Éternel.

5. Ary rehefa afaka izany, dia nanatitra ny fanatitra dorana mandrakariva izy, dia ilay fanao amin' ny voaloham-bolana sy amin' ny andro firavoravoana rehetra izay nohamasinina ho an' i Jehovah, mbamin' ny avy amin' izay rehetra nanatitra fanati-tsitrapo ho an' i Jehovah.

6. From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.

6. Dès le premier jour du septième mois, ils commencèrent à offrir à l`Éternel des holocaustes. Cependant les fondements du temple de l`Éternel n`étaient pas encore posés.

7. They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.

7. On donna de l`argent aux tailleurs de pierres et aux charpentiers, et des vivres, des boissons et de l`huile aux Sidoniens et aux Tyriens, pour qu`ils amenassent par mer jusqu`à Japho des bois de cèdre du Liban, suivant l`autorisation qu`on avait eue de Cyrus, roi de Perse.

7. Ary nomeny vola ny mpipai-bato sy ny mpandrafitra, ary ny any Tyro sy ny any Sidona dia nomeny zavatra hohanina sy hosotroina sy diloilo mba hitondrany hazo sedera avy any Libanona hatramin' ny ranomasina any Jopa, araka ny teny efa azony tamin' i Kyrosy, mpanjakan' i Persia.

8. Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.

8. La seconde année depuis leur arrivée à la maison de Dieu à Jérusalem, au second mois, Zorobabel, fils de Schealthiel, Josué, fils de Jotsadak, avec le reste de leurs frères les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, et tous ceux qui étaient revenus de la captivité à Jérusalem, se mirent à l`oeuvre et chargèrent les Lévites de vingt ans et au-dessus de surveiller les travaux de la maison de l`Éternel.

8. Ary tamin' ny volana faharoa tamin' ny taona faharoa taorian' ny nahatongavany tany amin' ny tranon' Andriamanitra tany Jerosalema dia niantomboka Zerobabela, zanak' i Sealtiela, sy Jesoa, zanak' i Jozadaka, mbamin' ny rahalahiny sisa, dia ny mpisorona sy ny Levita ary izay rehetra tonga tany Jerosalema avy tany amin' ny fahababoana, ka nanendry ny levita izay hatramin' ny roapolo taona no ho miakatra izy ho tonian' ny asa amin' ny tranon' i Jehovah.

9. Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.

9. Et Josué, avec ses fils et ses frères, Kadmiel, avec ses fils, fils de Juda, les fils de Hénadad, avec leurs fils et leurs frères les Lévites, se préparèrent tous ensemble à surveiller ceux qui travaillaient à la maison de Dieu.

9. Dia niara-nitsangana Jesoa sy ny zanany ary ny rahalahiny, ary Kadmiela sy ny zanany, zanak' i Joda, ho tonian' ny mpiasa tamin' ny tranon' Andriamanitra, ary ny zanak' i Henadada koa mbamin' ny zanany sy ny Levita rahalahiny.

10. And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

10. Lorsque les ouvriers posèrent les fondements du temple de l`Éternel, on fit assister les sacrificateurs en costume, avec les trompettes, et les Lévites, fils d`Asaph, avec les cymbales, afin qu`ils célébrassent l`Éternel, d`après les ordonnances de David, roi d`Israël.

10. Ary rehefa naorin' ny mpiasa ny tempolin' i Jehovah, dia nasainy hidera an' i Jehovah ny mpisorona, sady niakanjo ny akanjony sy nitondra trompetra, ary ny levita, zanak' i Asafa, kosa nitondra kipantsona, araka ny nandidian' i Davida, mpanjakan' ny Isiraely.

11. And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

11. Ils chantaient, célébrant et louant l`Éternel par ces paroles: Car il est bon, car sa miséricorde pour Israël dure à toujours! Et tout le peuple poussait de grands cris de joie en célébrant l`Éternel, parce qu`on posait les fondements de la maison de l`Éternel.

11. Dia nanao hira nifamalivaly nidera sy nisaotra an' i Jehovah izy, fa tsara Izy, fa mandrakizay ny famindrampony amin' ny Isiraely. Dia nihoby mafy ny olona rehetra raha nidera an' i Jehovah, satria vita ny fanorenan' ny tranon' i Jehovah.

12. But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:

12. Mais plusieurs des sacrificateurs et des Lévites, et des chefs de famille âgés, qui avaient vu la première maison, pleuraient à grand bruit pendant qu`on posait sous leurs yeux les fondements de cette maison. Beaucoup d`autres faisaient éclater leur joie par des cris,

12. "Nefa maro ny mpisorona sy ny Levita ary ny lohan' ny fianakaviana, dia ny antitra izay efa nahita ny trano voalohany no nitomany mafy dia mafy, nony naorina teo imasony izany trano izany; ary maro kosa no nanao antsoantsom-pifaliana mafy."

13. So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.

13. en sorte qu`on ne pouvait distinguer le bruit des cris de joie d`avec le bruit des pleurs parmi le peuple, car le peuple poussait de grands cris dont le son s`entendait au loin.

13. "Koa dia tsy voavaky ny olona ny feon' ny antsoantsom-pifaliana sy ny feon' ny fitomaniana nataon' ny olona; fa niantsoantso tamin' ny horakoraka be ny olona, ka re lavitra ny feo."
