An Allegory of Unfaithful Jerusalem
1. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2. Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
2. Fils de l`homme, fais connaître à Jérusalem ses abominations!
2. Ry zanak' olona, ampahafantaro an' i Jerosalema ny fahavetavetany,
3. And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.
3. "Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel, à Jérusalem: Par ton origine et ta naissance tu es du pays de Canaan; ton père était un Amoréen, et ta mère une Héthienne."
3. "Ka ataovy hoe: Izao no lazain' i Jehovah Andriamanitra amin' i Jerosalema: Ny tany Kanana no nahaterahanao sy nahabe anao; Amorita no rainao, ary Hetita no reninao."
4. And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
4. A ta naissance, au jour où tu naquis, ton nombril n`a pas été coupé, tu n`as pas été lavée dans l`eau pour être purifiée, tu n`as pas été frottée avec du sel, tu n`as pas été enveloppée dans des langes.
4. Ary ny amin' ny nahaterahanao, dia tsy voatapaka akory ny tadim-poitrao tamin' ny andro nahaterahanao, ary tsy voampandro tamin' ny rano ianao hampahalefaka anao, na voahosotra sira, na voahodidina lamban-jaza akory.
5. None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
5. "Nul n`a porté sur toi un regard de pitié pour te faire une seule de ces choses, par compassion pour toi; mais tu as été jetée dans les champs, le jour de ta naissance, parce qu`on avait horreur de toi."
5. "Tsy nisy maso niantra anao hanao izany aminao, na dia iray akory amin' ireo zavatra ireo aza, mba hamindra fo aminao; fa nariana tany an-tsaha ianao, satria natao ho zava-maharikoriko ianao tamin' ny andro nahaterahanao."
6. And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
6. Je passais près de toi, je t`aperçus baignée dans ton sang, et je te dis: Vis dans ton sang! je te dis: Vis dans ton sang!
6. "Ary raha nandalo anao Aho ka nahita anao nihosinkosina teo amin' ny ranao, dia hoy Aho taminao, raha mbola tamin' ny ranao ianao: Ho velona anie ianao; eny, hoy Aho taminao, raha mbola tamin' ny ranao ianao: Ho velona anie ianao."
7. I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.
7. "Je t`ai multipliée par dix milliers, comme les herbes des champs. Et tu pris de l`accroissement, tu grandis, tu devins d`une beauté parfaite; tes seins se formèrent, ta chevelure se développa. Mais tu étais nue, entièrement nue."
7. "Efa nataoko nitombo, toy ny zava-maniry any an-tsaha, ny isanao, ka nitombo sy nihalehibe ary tonga tsara tarehy tokoa ianao; naniry nono ianao sady naniry ny volonao, nefa mbola nitanjaka sy nihanjahanja ihany."
8. Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
8. Je passai près de toi, je te regardai, et voici, ton temps était là, le temps des amours. J`étendis sur toi le pan de ma robe, je couvris ta nudité, je te jurai fidélité, je fis alliance avec toi, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, et tu fus à moi.
8. "Ary raha nandalo anao Aho ka nijery anao, dia hitako fa izay no fotoananao, dia ny fotoam-pitiavana; ary narakotro anao ny lambako, ka nosaronako ny fitanjahanao; eny, nianiana taminao Aho ka nanao fanekena taminao, hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra, ka dia efa Ahy ianao."
9. Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
9. Je te lavai dans l`eau, je fis disparaître le sang qui était sur toi, et je t`oignis avec de l`huile.
9. Dia nampandroiko rano ianao, eny, nosasako tsara ho afaka tamin' ny ranao, dia nohosorako diloilo ianao.
10. I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
10. "Je te donnai des vêtements brodés, et une chaussure de peaux teintes en bleu; je te ceignis de fin lin, et je te couvris de soie."
10. Notafiako lamba misoratsoratra koa ianao sy nokiraroako hodi-takasy, ary nampisikiniko rongony fotsy madinika sy notafiako amparasily.
11. I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
11. Je te parai d`ornements: je mis des bracelets à tes mains, un collier à ton cou,

12. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
12. je mis un anneau à ton nez, des pendants à tes oreilles, et une couronne magnifique sur ta tête.
12. Ary nasiako firavaka ny handrinao, sy kavina ny sofinao, ary satroboninahitra tsara tarehy ny lohanao.
13. Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
13. Ainsi tu fus parée d`or et d`argent, et tu fus vêtue de fin lin, de soie et d`étoffes brodées. La fleur de farine, le miel et l`huile, furent ta nourriture. Tu étais d`une beauté accomplie, digne de la royauté.
13. "Ka dia niravaka volamena sy volafotsy ianao, ary rongony fotsy madinika sy amparasily ary lamba misoratsoratra no fitafianao; koba tsara toto sy tantely ary diloilo no fihinanao; ary efa nihatsara tarehy dia nihatsara tarehy ianao sady nambinina ho miendrik' andriana."
14. And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
14. "Et ta renommée se répandit parmi les nations, à cause de ta beauté; car elle était parfaite, grâce à l`éclat dont je t`avais ornée, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel."
14. "Ary dia niely tany amin' ny jentilisa ny lazanao noho ny hatsaran-tarehinao; fa tanteraka izany noho ny voninahitro izay nataoko taminao, hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra."
15. But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
15. "Mais tu t`es confiée dans ta beauté, et tu t`es prostituée, à la faveur de ton nom; tu as prodigué tes prostitutions à tous les passants, tu t`es livrée à eux."
15. Kanjo natoky ny hatsaran-tarehinao ianao ka nijangajanga noho ny lazanao sady nanaram-po nanao fahavetavetana tamin' ny mpandalo rehetra, ka nafoy ho azy izany.
16. And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
16. Tu as pris de tes vêtements, tu t`es fait des hauts lieux que tu as garnis d`étoffes de toutes couleurs, et tu t`y es prostituée: rien de semblable n`était arrivé et n`arrivera jamais.
16. "Ary nangalanao ny fitafianao, dia nanaovanao fitoerana avo ho anao ary noravahanao sora-damba, ka nijangajanga teo aminy ianao; dia zavatra izay tsy tokony hiseho na hisy akory."
17. Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,
17. Tu as pris ta magnifique parure d`or et d`argent, que je t`avais donnée, et tu en as fait des simulacres d`hommes, auxquels tu t`es prostituée.
17. Ary nalainao koa ny firavakao tsara tamin' ny volamenako sy ny volafotsiko, izay nomeko anao, dia nataonao sarin-dehilahy ho anao ka nanao ny fanaon' ny janga taminy.
18. And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
18. Tu as pris tes vêtements brodés, tu les en as couverts, et tu as offert à ces simulacres mon huile et mon encens.
18. "Dia nalainao ny fitafianao misoratsoratra ka natafinao ireo; ary ny diloiloko sy ny ditin-kazo manitro dia napetrakao teo anoloany."
19. My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.
19. Le pain que je t`avais donné, la fleur de farine, l`huile et le miel, dont je te nourrissais, tu leur as offert ces choses comme des parfums d`une odeur agréable. Voilà ce qui est arrivé, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
19. Ary ny haniko izay nomeko anao koa, dia ny koba tsara toto sy ny diloilo ary ny tantely, izay nafahako anao, dia napetrakao teo anoloan' ireo ho hanitra ankasitrahana: teo tokoa izany, hoy Jehovah Tompo.
20. Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,
20. Tu as pris tes fils et tes filles, que tu m`avais enfantés, et tu les leur as sacrifiés pour qu`ils leur servent d`aliment: n`était-ce pas assez de tes prostitutions?
20. Ary nentinao ny zanakao lahy sy ny zanakao vavy, izay naterakao ho Ahy, dia novonoinao ho fanatitra ho an' ireo mba hohaniny.Moa zavatra kely va izany fijangajanganao izany?
21. That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
21. Tu as égorgé mes fils, et tu les as donnés, en les faisant passer par le feu en leur honneur.
21. Ary novonoinao ny zanako, ka natolotrao nampandehaninao namaky ny afo ho an' ireo.
22. And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.
22. Au milieu de toutes tes abominations et de tes prostitutions, tu ne t`es pas souvenue du temps de ta jeunesse, lorsque tu étais nue, entièrement nue, et baignée dans ton sang.
22. Ary tamin' ny fahavetavetanao sy ny fijangajanganao rehetra dia tsy nahatsiaro ny andro fahakelezanao ianao, fony ianao nitanjaka sy nihanjahanja sady nihosinkosina teo amin' ny ranao.
23. And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the LORD GOD;)
23. Après toutes tes méchantes actions, -malheur, malheur à toi! dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, -
23. Ary izao no niseho, rehefa vitanao izany faharatsianao rehetra izany (loza, lozanao hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra).
24. That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.
24. "tu t`es bâti des maisons de prostitution, tu t`es fait des hauts lieux dans toutes les places;"
24. Dia nanao trano fijangajangana ho anao koa ianao sady nanao fitoerana avo ho anao teny an-kalalahana rehetra teny.
25. Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
25. à l`entrée de chaque chemin tu as construit tes hauts lieux, tu as déshonoré ta beauté, tu t`es livrée à tous les passants, tu as multiplié tes prostitutions.
25. Teny an-tsampanan-dalana rehetra no nanaovanao ny fitoerana avonao, ary novetavetainao ny hatsaran-tarehinao, ka nabahanao ho amin' ny mpandalo rehetra ny tongotrao, ary nampitomboinao ny fijangajanganao.
26. Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.
26. Tu t`es prostituée aux Égyptiens, tes voisins au corps vigoureux, et tu as multiplié tes prostitutions pour m`irriter.
26. "Ianao koa efa nanao fahavetavetana tamin' ny Egyptiana be nofo izay mpifanila fonenana aminao; ary nampitomboinao ny fijangajanganao ka nampahatezitra Ahy."
27. Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
27. Et voici, j`ai étendu ma main contre toi, j`ai diminué la part que je t`avais assignée, je t`ai livrée à la volonté de tes ennemis, les filles des Philistins, qui ont rougi de ta conduite criminelle.
27. Ary, indro, nahinjitro taminao ny tanako, ka nahenako ny anjara-haninao, ary natolotro ho amin' ny sitrapon' izay mankahala anao ianao, dia ny zanakavavin' ny Filistina, izay menatra noho ny fahavetavetana fanaonao.
28. Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.
28. "Tu t`es prostituée aux Assyriens, parce que tu n`étais pas rassasiée; tu t`es prostituée à eux, et tu n`as pas encore été rassasiée."
28. "Ary nijangajanga tamin' ny Asyriana koa ianao noho ny tsy fahafaham-ponao; eny nijangajanga taminy ianao, nefa mbola tsy afa-po ihany."
29. Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.
29. Tu as multiplié tes prostitutions avec le pays de Canaan et jusqu`en Chaldée, et avec cela tu n`as pas encore été rassasiée.
29. "Ary mbola nampitomboinao ihany ny fahavetavetanao tao amin' ny tany Kanana hatrany Kaldea; fa na dia izany aza dia tsy mbola afa-po ihany ianao."
30. How weak is thine heart, saith the LORD GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;
30. Quelle faiblesse de coeur tu as eue, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, en faisant toutes ces choses, qui sont l`oeuvre d`une maîtresse prostituée!
30. Akory ny fahalemen' ny fonao! hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra tamin' ny nanaovanao ireo rehetra ireo, dia ny fanaon' ny janga tsivalahara!
31. In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;
31. "Lorsque tu bâtissais tes maisons de prostitution à l`entrée de chaque chemin, lorsque tu faisais tes hauts lieux dans toutes les places, tu n`as pas même été comme la prostituée qui réclame un salaire;"
31. Tamin' ny nanaovanao ny trano fijangajanganao teny an-tsampanan-dalana rehetra sy ny nanaovanao ny fitoerana avonao teny an-kalalahana rehetra, dia tsy mba tahaka ny vehivavy janga ianao, satria tsy nahoanao akory izay tangy.
32. But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!
32. tu as été la femme adultère, qui reçoit des étrangers au lieu de son mari.
32. Fa tahaka ny vehivavy mijangajanga izay maka olon-kafa ho solon' ny vadiny!
33. They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.
33. "A toutes les prostituées on paie un salaire; mais toi, tu as fait des dons à tous tes amants, tu les as gagnés par des présents, afin de les attirer à toi de toutes parts dans tes prostitutions."
33. "Ny vehivavy janga rehetra dia omen-tangy; fa ianao kosa manangy ireo lehilahinao rehetra sady manome azy fanambatambazana hanatonan' ny manodidina rehetra anao noho ny fanao janganao."
34. And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.
34. "Tu as été le contraire des autres prostituées, parce qu`on ne te recherchait pas; et en donnant un salaire au lieu d`en recevoir un, tu as été le contraire des autres."
34. "Ary mifanohitra amin' ny vehivavy hafa mihitsy ny fanaonao tamin' ny fijangajanganao, fa tsy mba misy manaraka anao amin' ny fijangajanganao; eny, satria nanome tangy ianao fa tsy mba nomena, dia izany indrindra no mahafahafa anao."
35. Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
35. C`est pourquoi, prostituée, écoute la parole de l`Éternel!
35. Koa mihainoa ny tenin' i Jehovah ry kala janga:
36. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
36. Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: Parce que tes trésors ont été dissipés, et que ta nudité a été découverte dans tes prostitutions avec tes amants et avec toutes tes abominables idoles, et à cause du sang de tes enfants que tu leur as donnés,
36. "Izao no lazain' i Jehovah Andriamanitra: Noho ny nanidinana ny fahalotoanao sy ny nampisehoana ny fitanjahanao tamin' ny nijangajanganao tamin' ireo lehilahinao sy ny sampin' ny fahavetavetanao rehetra ary noho ny ràn' ny zanakao izay naterinao ho an' ireo;"
37. Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
37. voici, je rassemblerai tous tes amants avec lesquels tu te plaisais, tous ceux que tu as aimés et tous ceux que tu as haïs, je les rassemblerai de toutes parts contre toi, je leur découvrirai ta nudité, et ils verront toute ta nudité.
37. "Dia, indro, hovoriko ireny lehilahinao rehetra ireny, izay mankamaminao sy izay tianao rehetra mbamin' ireny rehetra izay halanao koa, eny, hovoriko avy amin' ny manodidina ireny mba hamely anao, ka hampisehoako aminy ny fitanjahanao, dia hahita ny fitanjahanao rehetra izy;"
38. And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
38. Je te jugerai comme on juge les femmes adultères et celles qui répandent le sang, et je ferai de toi une victime sanglante de la fureur et de la jalousie.
38. Ary hotsaraiko ianao araka ny fitsara vehivavy mijangajanga sy izay mandatsa-drà ka halatsako ny ranao noho ny fahatezerana sy ny fahasaro-piaro.
39. And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
39. "Je te livrerai entre leurs mains; ils abattront tes maisons de prostitution et détruiront tes hauts lieux; ils te dépouilleront de tes vêtements, prendront ta magnifique parure, et te laisseront nue, entièrement nue."
39. "Dia hatolotro ho eny an-tanan' ireny koa ianao ka harodany ny trano fijangajanganao, ary horavany ny fitoerana avonao; dia hendahany koa ny fitafianao, ary hoesoriny ny firavakao soa, ka havelany hitanjaka sy hiboridana ianao."
40. They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
40. "Ils amèneront la foule contre toi, ils te lapideront et te perceront à coups d`épée;"
40. Dia hitondra antoko hiakatra hamely anao koa izy ka hotorahany vato sady hotetitetehiny amin' ny sabany ianao.
41. And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
41. ils brûleront tes maisons par le feu, et ils feront justice de toi, aux yeux d`une multitude de femmes. Je ferai cesser ainsi ton impudicité et tu ne donneras plus de salaire.
41. "Ary hodorany amin' ny afo ny tranonao ka hotanterahiny eo imason' ny vehivavy maro ny famaliana anao; ary hatsahatro tsy hijangajanga ianao ka tsy hanangy intsony."
42. So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
42. "J`assouvirai ma colère contre toi, et tu ne seras plus l`objet de ma jalousie; je m`apaiserai, je ne serai plus irrité."
42. Toy izany no hampitsaharako ny fahatezerako aminao ary ho afaka ny fahasaro-piaroko aminao dia hionona aho ka tsy ho tezitra intsony.
43. Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
43. Parce que tu ne t`es pas souvenue du temps de ta jeunesse, parce que tu m`as provoqué par toutes ces choses, voici, je ferai retomber ta conduite sur ta tête, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, et tu ne commettras plus le crime avec toutes tes abominations.
43. "Noho ny tsy nahatsiarovanao ny andron' ny fahatanoranao, fa niempo nanohitra Ahy tamin' ireo rehetra ireo ianao, dia indro ny lalanao ihany koa no hatsingeriko ho eo an-dohanao, hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra; ary tsy hanao izany ratsy izany mihoatra noho ny fahavetavetanao rehetra ianao."
44. Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.
44. Voici, tous ceux qui disent des proverbes, t`appliqueront ce proverbe: Telle mère, telle fille!
44. Indro, ny mpanao ohabolana rehetra dia hamely anao amin' izao ohabolana izao hoe: Manahaka an-dreniny ihany ny zanany vavy.
45. Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
45. "Tu es la fille de ta mère, qui a repoussé son mari et ses enfants; tu es la soeur de tes soeurs, qui ont repoussé leur mari et leurs enfants. Votre mère était une Héthienne, et votre père un Amoréen."
45. "Ianao dia zanakavavin-dreninao, izay mahafoy ny vadiny aman-janany; ary ianao dia rahavavin' ireo rahavavinao, izay nahafoy ny vadiny aman-janany; Hetita no reninareo, ary Amorita no rainareo."
46. And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.
46. "Ta grande soeur, qui demeure à ta gauche, c`est Samarie avec ses filles; et ta petite soeur, qui demeure à ta droite, c`est Sodome avec ses filles."
46. "Samaria no zokinao vavy, dia izy sy ny zanany vavy izay monina eo ankavianao; ary, ny zandrinao vavy izay monina amin' ny ankavananao, dia Sodoma sy ny zanany vavy."
47. Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
47. "Tu n`as pas seulement marché dans leurs voies, commis les mêmes abominations, c`était trop peu; tu as été plus corrompue qu`elles dans toutes tes voies."
47. "Nefa tsy araka ny alehan' ireo ihany no nalehanao, ary tsy araka ny fahavetavetan' ireo ihany no nataonao; fa ohatra ny zavatra kely loatra izany, ka dia nanao ratsy mihoatra noho ireo indray ianao tamin' ny nalehanao rehetra."
48. As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
48. Je suis vivant! dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel, Sodome, ta soeur, et ses filles n`ont pas fait ce que vous avez fait, toi et tes filles.
48. Raha velona koa Aho, hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra, na dia Sodoma rahavavinao sy ny zanany vavy aza tsy mba nanao tahaka ny nataonao sy ny zanakao vavy.
49. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
49. Voici quel a été le crime de Sodome, ta soeur. Elle avait de l`orgueil, elle vivait dans l`abondance et dans une insouciante sécurité, elle et ses filles, et elle ne soutenait pas la main du malheureux et de l`indigent.
49. Indro, izao no helok' i Sodoma rahavavinao: Avonavona sy fahafenoan-kanina ary habetsahan' ny fahalainana no tao aminy sy tao amin' ny zanany vavy, ary tsy mba nampahatanjaka ny tanan' ny mahantra sy ny olon-tsahirana izy.
50. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
50. Elles sont devenues hautaines, et elles ont commis des abominations devant moi. Je les ai fait disparaître, quand j`ai vu cela.

51. Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.
51. "Samarie n`a pas commis la moitié de tes péchés; tes abominations ont été plus nombreuses que les siennes, et tu as justifié tes soeurs par toutes les abominations que tu as faites."
51. "Ary tsy ampy antsasaky ny fahotanao ny nataon' i Samaria; fa ianao efa nampitombo ny fahavetavetanao mihoatra noho izy ireo ary nanamarina ireo rahavavinao tamin' ny fahavetavetanao rehetra izay nataonao."
52. Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
52. "Toi qui condamnais tes soeurs, supporte ton opprobre, à cause de tes péchés par lesquels tu t`es rendue plus abominable qu`elles, et qui les font paraître plus justes que toi; sois confuse, et supporte ton opprobre, puisque tu as justifié tes soeurs."
52. "Ianao koa dia aoka hitondra ny henatrao araka ny efa nitsaranao ny rahavavinao, noho ny fahotanao izay nahatonga anao ho vetaveta mihoatra noho ireo; marina noho ianao izy ireo, eny menara koa ianao, ka mitondrà ny henatrao noho ny nanamarinanao ny rahavavinao."
53. When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
53. Je ramènerai leurs captifs, les captifs de Sodome et de ses filles, les captifs de Samarie et de ses filles, et tes captifs au milieu des leurs,
53. "Rehefa hampodiako avy amin' ny fahababoana ireny, ny fahababoan' i Sodoma sy ny zanany vavy, mbamin' ny fahababoan' i Samaria sy ny zanany vavy, dia hampodiako avy amin' ny fahababoana indray eo aminy ianao;"
54. That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.
54. afin que tu subisses ton opprobre, et que tu rougisses de tout ce que tu as fait, en étant pour elles un sujet de consolation.

55. When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.
55. "Tes soeurs, Sodome et ses filles, reviendront à leur premier état, Samarie et ses filles reviendront à leur premier état; et toi et tes filles, vous reviendrez à votre premier état."
55. Rehefa hody amin' ny toetrany taloha ny rahavavinao, dia Sodoma sy ny zanany vavy, ary hody amin' ny toetrany taloha Samaria sy ny zanany vavy, dia hody amin' ny toetranareo taloha ianao sy ny zanakao vavy.
56. For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,
56. Ne discourais-tu pas sur ta soeur Sodome, dans le temps de ton orgueil,
56. Nefa tsy mba notononin' ny vavanao akory i Sodoma rahavavinao tamin' ny andro niavonavonanao.
57. Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.
57. avant que ta méchanceté soit mise à nu, lorsque tu as reçu les outrages des filles de la Syrie et de tous ses alentours, des filles des Philistins, qui te méprisaient de tous côtés!
57. Fony tsy mbola niseho ny faharatsianao, toy ny tamin' ny andro nandatsan' ny zanakavavin' i Syria sy izay rehetra manodidina azy ary ny zanakavavin' ny Filistina, izay namingavinga anao manodidina.
58. Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.
58. Tu portes tes crimes et tes abominations, dit l`Éternel.
58. Ny faharatsianao sy ny fahavetavetanao no nentinao, hoy Jehovah.
59. For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
59. Car ainsi parle le Seigneur, l`Éternel: J`agirai envers toi comme tu as agi, toi qui as méprisé le serment en rompant l`alliance.
59. Fa izao no lazain' i Jehovah Andriamanitra: Araka ny nataonao ihany no hataoko aminao, izay namingavinga ny fianianana ka nivadika ny fanekena.
60. Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.
60. Mais je me souviendrai de mon alliance avec toi au temps de ta jeunesse, et j`établirai avec toi une alliance éternelle.
60. Nefa hotsarovako ny fanekeko nataoko taminao, tamin' ny andro fahatanoranao, ka hanorina fanekena mandrakizay aminao aho.
61. Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
61. "Tu te souviendras de ta conduite, et tu en auras honte, quand tu recevras tes soeurs, les grandes et les petites; je te les donnerai pour filles, mais non en vertu de ton alliance."
61. "Dia hotsarovanao ny nalehanao, ka ho menatra ianao, raha handray ireo rahavavinao, dia ny zokinao sy ny zandrinao; ary homeko ho zanakao vavy ireo, fa tsy araka ny fanekena taminao."
62. And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:
62. J`établirai mon alliance avec toi, et tu sauras que je suis l`Éternel,
62. Ary Izaho hanorina ny fanekeko aminao, ka dia ho fantatrao fa Izaho no Jehovah,
63. That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
63. Afin que tu te souviennes du passé et que tu rougisses, afin que tu n`ouvres plus la bouche et que tu sois confuse, quand je te pardonnerai tout ce que tu as fait, dit le Seigneur, l`Éternel.
63. Mba hahatsiarovanao sy hangaihaizanao ary tsy hiloahanao vava intsony noho ny henatrao raha mamela ny helokao ny amin' ny nataonao rehetra Aho, hoy Jehovah Andriamanitra.
