The Covenant Confirmed
1. And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
1. Dieu dit à Moïse: Monte vers l`Éternel, toi et Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, et soixante-dix des anciens d`Israël, et vous vous prosternerez de loin.
1. "Ary hoy Izy tamin' i Mosesy: Miakara ao amin' i Jehovah ianao sy Arona sy Nadaba sy Abiho ary fitopolo lahy amin' ny loholon' ny Isiraely; ka miankohofa eny lavitra eny ianareo;"
2. And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
2. "Moïse s`approchera seul de l`Éternel; les autres ne s`approcheront pas, et le peuple ne montera point avec lui."
2. "Ary Mosesy ihany no hanakaiky an' i Jehovah, fa ireo tsy mba hanakaiky; ary ny olona tsy hiakatra hiaraka aminy."
3. And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.
3. Moïse vint rapporter au peuple toutes les paroles de l`Éternel et toutes les lois. Le peuple entier répondit d`une même voix: Nous ferons tout ce que l`Éternel a dit.
3. Dia tonga Mosesy ka nanambara tamin' ny olona ny teny rehetra izay nataon' i Jehovah sy ny fitsipika rehetra. Ary namaly indray miredona ny olona rehetra ka nanao hoe: Ny teny rehetra izay nolazain' i Jehovah dia hataonay.
4. And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
4. "Moïse écrivit toutes les paroles de l`Éternel. Puis il se leva de bon matin; il bâtit un autel au pied de la montagne, et dressa douze pierres pour les douze tribus d`Israël."
4. Ary Mosesy nanoratra ny teny rehetra nataon' i Jehovah, dia nifoha maraina koa ka nanorina alitara teo ambodin' ny havoana sy tsangambato roa ambin' ny folo, araka ny isan' ny fokon' Isiraely roa ambin' ny folo.
5. And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
5. Il envoya des jeunes hommes, enfants d`Israël, pour offrir à l`Éternel des holocaustes, et immoler des taureaux en sacrifices d`actions de grâces.
5. Ary izy naniraka zatovolahy tamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely izay nanolotra fanatitra dorana, sy nanao sorona omby ho fanati-pihavanana ho an' i Jehovah.
6. And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
6. Moïse prit la moitié du sang, qu`il mit dans des bassins, et il répandit l`autre moitié sur l`autel.
6. Ary nalain' i Mosesy ny antsasaky ny rà ka nataony tao anaty tavy, ary ny antsasaky ny rà kosa natopiny teo amin' ny alitara.
7. And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
7. "Il prit le livre de l`alliance, et le lut en présence du peuple; ils dirent: Nous ferons tout ce que l`Éternel a dit, et nous obéirons."
7. "Dia naka ny bokin' ny fanekena izy ka namaky teny teo anatrehan' ny olona; ary hoy ireo: Izay rehetra nolazain' i Jehovah dia hataonay sy ankatoavinay."
8. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
8. Moïse prit le sang, et il le répandit sur le peuple, en disant: Voici le sang de l`alliance que l`Éternel a faite avec vous selon toutes ces paroles.
8. Ary nalain' i Mosesy ny rà ka natopiny tamin' ny olona, dia hoy izy: Indro, ny ràn' ny fanekena izay nataon' i Jehovah taminareo ny amin' izany teny rehetra izany.
9. Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
9. Moïse monta avec Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, et soixante-dix anciens d`Israël.
9. Dia niakatra Mosesy sy Arona sy Nadaba sy Abiho ary fitopolo lahy tamin' ny loholon' ny Isiraely.
10. And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
10. "Ils virent le Dieu d`Israël; sous ses pieds, c`était comme un ouvrage de saphir transparent, comme le ciel lui-même dans sa pureté."
10. "Dia nahita an' Andriamanitry ny Isiraely izy ireo; koa ny teo ambanin' ny tongony dia toy ny fanganohanon' ny vato safira voavoatra ary toy ny tenan' ny lanitra amin' ny famirapirany."
11. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
11. Il n`étendit point sa main sur l`élite des enfants d`Israël. Ils virent Dieu, et ils mangèrent et burent.
11. "Ary tsy naninjitra ny tanany tamin' ireo olo-manankajan' ny Zanak' Isiraely Izy; dia nahita an' Andriamanitra koa izy ireo, ary nihinana sy nisotro."
12. And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
12. "L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Monte vers moi sur la montagne, et reste là; je te donnerai des tables de pierre, la loi et les ordonnances que j`ai écrites pour leur instruction."
12. "Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Miakara aty amiko aty an-tendrombohitra, ka mitoera aty; ary Izaho hanome anao ny vato fisaka sy ny lalàna ary ny didy izay nosoratako, mba hahazoanao mampianatra azy ireo."
13. And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.
13. Moïse se leva, avec Josué qui le servait, et Moïse monta sur la montagne de Dieu.
13. "Dia niainga Mosesy sy Josoa mpanompony; ary Mosesy dia niakatra tao an-tendrombohitr' Andriamanitra."
14. And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
14. "Il dit aux anciens: Attendez-nous ici, jusqu`à ce que nous revenions auprès de vous. Voici, Aaron et Hur resteront avec vous; si quelqu`un a un différend, c`est à eux qu`il s`adressera."
14. "Ary hoy izy tamin' ny loholona: Miandrasa anay eto mandra-piverinay eto aminareo; ary, indro, Arona sy Hora dia eto aminareo, koa raha misy olona manan-draharaha atao, na inona na inona, dia aoka izy hanatona azy ireo."
15. And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
15. Moïse monta sur la montagne, et la nuée couvrit la montagne.
15. Dia niakatra tao amin' ny tendrombohitra Mosesy, ary ny rahona nanarona ny tendrombohitra.
16. And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
16. La gloire de l`Éternel reposa sur la montagne de Sinaï, et la nuée le couvrit pendant six jours. Le septième jour, l`Éternel appela Moïse du milieu de la nuée.
16. "Ary ny voninahitr' i Jehovah nitoetra teo ambonin' ny tendrombohitra Sinay, ary ny rahona nanarona azy henemana; dia niantso an' i Mosesy tamin' ny andro fahafito teo afovoan' ny rahona Izy."
17. And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
17. L`aspect de la gloire de l`Éternel était comme un feu dévorant sur le sommet de la montagne, aux yeux des enfants d`Israël.
17. Ary ny fijery ny voninahitr' i Jehovah teo an-tampon' ny tendrombohitra dia tahaka ny afo mandevona teo imason' ny Zanak' Isiraely.
18. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
18. Moïse entra au milieu de la nuée, et il monta sur la montagne. Moïse demeura sur la montagne quarante jours et quarante nuits.
18. "Dia niditra tao afovoan' ny rahona Mosesy ka niakatra tao amin' ny tendrombohitra; ary nitoetra tao amin' ny tendrombohitra efapolo andro sy efapolo alina Mosesy."
