1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2. Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.
2. "Parle aux enfants d`Israël; qu`ils se détournent, et qu`ils campent devant Pi Hahiroth, entre Migdol et la mer, vis-à-vis de Baal Tsephon; c`est en face de ce lieu que vous camperez, près de la mer."
2. Lazao amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely mba hivily izy ka hitoby tandrifin' i Pi-hahirota, eo anelanelan' i Migdola sy ny ranomasina manandrify an' i Bala-zefona, eo anoloany no hitobianareo, eo amoron-dranomasina.
3. For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.
3. "Pharaon dira des enfants d`Israël: Ils sont égarés dans le pays; le désert les enferme."
3. Fa hilaza ny amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely Farao hoe: Azon' ny tamberintany izy ka voahidin' ny efitra.
4. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.
4. "J`endurcirai le coeur de Pharaon, et il les poursuivra; mais Pharaon et toute son armée serviront à faire éclater ma gloire, et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis l`Éternel. Et les enfants d`Israël firent ainsi."
4. "Dia hanamafy ny fon' i Farao Aho, ka hanenjika azy ireo izy; dia hankalazaina Aho eo amin' i Farao sy ny miaramilany rehetra, mba ho fantatry ny Egyptiana fa Izaho no Jehovah. dia nataon' izy ireo izany."
5. And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?
5. On annonça au roi d`Égypte que le peuple avait pris la fuite. Alors le coeur de Pharaon et celui de ses serviteurs furent changés à l`égard du peuple. Ils dirent: Qu`avons-nous fait, en laissant aller Israël, dont nous n`aurons plus les services?
5. " Ary nambara tamin' ny mpanjakan' i Egypta fa efa nandositra ny olona; dia niova ny fon' i Farao sy ny mpanompony ny amin' ny olona, ka hoy izy: Nahoana isika no nanao izao, ka nandefa ny Isiraely hiala tamin' ny fanompoana antsika?"
6. And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:
6. Et Pharaon attela son char, et il prit son peuple avec lui.
6. Dia nanomana ny kalesiny izy ka nitondra ny olony hiaraka aminy.
7. And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
7. "Il prit six cent chars d`élite, et tous les chars de l`Égypte; il y avait sur tous des combattants."
7. Ary nitondra kalesy voafantina eninjato sy ny kalesin' ny Egyptiana rehetra izy, ka samy nisy kapiteny avy tambonin' izy rehetra.
8. And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
8. L`Éternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, roi d`Égypte, et Pharaon poursuivit les enfants d`Israël. Les enfants d`Israël étaient sortis la main levée.
8. "Ary Jehovah nanamafy ny fon' i Farao mpanjakan' i Egypta, dia nanenjika ny Zanak' Isiraely izy; ary tamin' ny tanana avo no nivoahan' ny zanak' Isiraely."
9. But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
9. "Les Égyptiens les poursuivirent; et tous les chevaux, les chars de Pharaon, ses cavaliers et son armée, les atteignirent campés près de la mer, vers Pi Hahiroth, vis-à-vis de Baal Tsephon."
9. Fa nanenjika azy ny Egyptiana, dia ny soavaly rehetra sy ny kalesin' i Farao, ary ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny sy ny miaramilany, ka nahatratra azy nitoby teo amoron' ny ranomasina teo anilan' i Pi-hahirota tandrifin' i Bala-zefona.
10. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
10. Pharaon approchait. Les enfants d`Israël levèrent les yeux, et voici, les Égyptiens étaient en marche derrière eux. Et les enfants d`Israël eurent une grande frayeur, et crièrent à l`Éternel.
10. " Ary rehefa mby akaiky Farao, dia natopin' ny Zanak' Isiraely ny masony, ka, indreo, ny Egyptiana tamy manenjika azy; dia raiki-tahotra indrindra ny Zanak' Isiraely ka nitaraina tamin' i Jehovah."
11. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
11. Ils dirent à Moïse: N`y avait-il pas des sépulcres en Égypte, sans qu`il fût besoin de nous mener mourir au désert? Que nous as-tu fait en nous faisant sortir d`Égypte?
11. Ary hoy izy ireo tamin' i Mosesy: Fa tsy nisy fasana va tany Egypta no nentinao ho faty aty an' efitra izahay? Nahoana no nanao izany taminay ianao ka nitondra anay nivoaka avy tany Egypta?
12. Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
12. N`est-ce pas là ce que nous te disions en Égypte: Laisse-nous servir les Égyptiens, car nous aimons mieux servir les Égyptiens que de mourir au désert?
12. Tsy izao va no teny nolazainay taminao fony tany Egypta hoe: Avelao ihany izahay hanompo ny Egyptiana? Fa naleonay nanompo ny Egyptiana toy izay ho faty any an' efitra.
13. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
13. "Moïse répondit au peuple: Ne craignez rien, restez en place, et regardez la délivrance que l`Éternel va vous accorder en ce jour; car les Égyptiens que vous voyez aujourd`hui, vous ne les verrez plus jamais."
13. "Ary hoy Mosesy tamin' ny olona: Aza matahotra ianareo, mijanòna, ka jereo ny famonjen' i Jehovah izay hasehony anareo anio; fa ny Egyptiana izay hitanareo anio, dia tsy ho hitanareo intsony mandrakizay."
14. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
14. "L`Éternel combattra pour vous; et vous, gardez le silence."
14. Jehovah hiady ho anareo fa ianareo kosa hangina.
15. And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
15. L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Pourquoi ces cris? Parle aux enfants d`Israël, et qu`ils marchent.
15. Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Nahoana no mitaraina amiko ianao? Lazao amin' ny Zanak' Isiraely mba handroso izy ireo.
16. But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
16. "Toi, lève ta verge, étends ta main sur la mer, et fends-la; et les enfants d`Israël entreront au milieu de la mer à sec."
16. Ary aingao ny tehinao, dia ahinjiro ambonin' ny ranomasina ny tananao, ka saraho izany, dia handeha hamaky eo afovoan' ny ranomasina mandia ny tany maina ny Zanak' Isiraely.
17. And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
17. Et moi, je vais endurcir le coeur des Égyptiens, pour qu`ils y entrent après eux: et Pharaon et toute son armée, ses chars et ses cavaliers, feront éclater ma gloire.
17. Ary Izaho, indro, Izaho hanamafy ny fon' ny Egyptiana, ka hanaraka azy ireo izy, dia hankalazaina eo amin' i Farao aho sy eo amin' ny miaramilany, sy eo amin' ny kalesiny ary eo amin' ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny.
18. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
18. Et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis l`Éternel, quand Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers, auront fait éclater ma gloire.
18. Dia ho fantatry ny Egyptiana fa Izaho no Jehovah, rehefa ankalazaina Aho eo amin' i farao, eo amin' ny kalesiny ary eo amin' ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny.
19. And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
19. "L`ange de Dieu, qui allait devant le camp d`Israël, partit et alla derrière eux; et la colonne de nuée qui les précédait, partit et se tint derrière eux."
19. "Ary Ilay Anjelin' Andriamanitra, Izay nandeha teo alohan' ny tobin' ny Isiraely dia nifindra ka nankeo aoriany; ary ny andri-rahona niala avy teo anoloany ka nijanona teo aoriany."
20. And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
20. Elle se plaça entre le camp des Égyptiens et le camp d`Israël. Cette nuée était ténébreuse d`un côté, et de l`autre elle éclairait la nuit. Et les deux camps n`approchèrent point l`un de l`autre pendant toute la nuit.
20. "Ary dia tonga tanelanelan' ny tobin' ny Egyptiana sy ny tobin' ny Isiraely izany; ka dia rahona sy fahamaizinana ho an' ny Egyptiana izany, fa nampahazava ny Zanak' Isiraely nony alina, ka tsy nifanatona izy ireo nandritra ny alina."
21. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
21. "Moïse étendit sa main sur la mer. Et l`Éternel refoula la mer par un vent d`orient, qui souffla avec impétuosité toute la nuit; il mit la mer à sec, et les eaux se fendirent."
21. "Dia nahinjitr' i Mosesy teo ambonin' ny ranomasina ny tanany; ary rivotra mahery avy any atsinanana no nampisavan' i Jehovah ny ranomasina mandritra iny alina iny, ka nataony tany maina ny ranomasina, ary dia voasaraka ny rano."
22. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
22. Les enfants d`Israël entrèrent au milieu de la mer à sec, et les eaux formaient comme une muraille à leur droite et à leur gauche.
22. "Dia nandeha teo afovoan' ny ranomasina nandia ny tany maina ny Zanak' Isiraely; ary ny rano dia tonga manda ho azy teo amin' ny ankavanany sy teo amin' ny ankaviany."
23. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
23. "Les Égyptiens les poursuivirent; et tous les chevaux de Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers, entrèrent après eux au milieu de la mer."
23. Dia nanenjika ny Egyptiana ka niditra nanaraka azy teo afovoan' ny ranomasina, dia ny soavalin' i Farao rehetra sy ny kalesiny ary ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny.
24. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
24. A la veille du matin, l`Éternel, de la colonne de feu et de nuée, regarda le camp des Égyptiens, et mit en désordre le camp des Égyptiens.
24. Ary izao no niseho, tamin' ny fiambenana maraina dia nijery ny tafiky ny Egyptiana tao amin' ny andri-afo sy ny rahona Jehovah ka nampifanaritaka ny tafiky ny Egyptiana.
25. And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
25. Il ôta les roues de leurs chars et en rendit la marche difficile. Les Égyptiens dirent alors: Fuyons devant Israël, car l`Éternel combat pour lui contre les Égyptiens.
25. Ary nanala ny kodiaran' ny kalesiny Izy, mba hampahasarotra ny fitondrany azy, ka nilazan' ny Egyptiana hoe: Aoka handositra ny tavan' ny Isiraely isika, fa Jehovah no miady amin' ny Egyptiana ho azy ireo.
26. And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
26. "L`Éternel dit à Moïse: Étends ta main sur la mer; et les eaux reviendront sur les Égyptiens, sur leurs chars et sur leurs cavaliers."
26. Ary hoy Jehovah tamin' i Mosesy: Ahinjiro eo ambonin' ny ranomasina ny tananao, mba hikatonan' ny rano amin' ny Egyptiana mbamin' ny kalesiny sy ny mpitaingin-tsoavaliny.
27. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
27. "Moïse étendit sa main sur la mer. Et vers le matin, la mer reprit son impétuosité, et les Égyptiens s`enfuirent à son approche; mais l`Éternel précipita les Égyptiens au milieu de la mer."
27. "Dia nahinjitr' i Mosesy teo ambonin' ny ranomasina ny tanany ka niverina ho amin' ny heriny ny ranomasina nony tonga ny maraina; ary nandositra izany ny Egyptiana; fa nalentik' i Jehovah teo afovoan' ny ranomasina ny Egyptiana."
28. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
28. "Les eaux revinrent, et couvrirent les chars, les cavaliers et toute l`armée de Pharaon, qui étaient entrés dans la mer après les enfants d`Israël; et il n`en échappa pas un seul."
28. "Ary dia nikatona ny rano ka nanarona ny kalesy sy ny mpitaingin-tsoavaly mbamin' ny tafik' i Farao rehetra izay nanaraka azy ireo tao amin' ny ranomasina; tsy nisy niangana na dia iray akory aza."
29. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
29. Mais les enfants d`Israël marchèrent à sec au milieu de la mer, et les eaux formaient comme une muraille à leur droite et à leur gauche.
29. "Fa ny Zanak' Isiraely kosa nandeha tamin' ny tany maina teo afovoan' ny ranomasina; ary ny rano dia tonga manda ho azy teo amin' ny ankavanany sy teo amin' ny ankaviany."
30. Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
30. "En ce jour, l`Éternel délivra Israël de la main des Égyptiens; et Israël vit sur le rivage de la mer les Égyptiens qui étaient morts."
30. "Toy izany no namonjen' i Jehovah ny Isiraely avy tamin' ny tanan' ny Egyptiana tamin' izany andro izany; ary hitan' ny Isiraely teny amoron-dranomasina ny fatin' ny Egyptiana."
31. And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
31. Israël vit la main puissante que l`Éternel avait dirigée contre les Égyptiens. Et le peuple craignit l`Éternel, et il crut en l`Éternel et en Moïse, son serviteur.
31. Ary hitan' ny Isiraely izany asa lehibe izay nataon' i Jehovah teo amin' ny Egyptiana izany ka dia natahotra an' i Jehovah ny olona, ary nino an' i Jehovah sy Mosesy mpanompony.
