The One Place of Worship
1. These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

2. Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

3. And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.

4. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

5. But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
5. Mais vous le chercherez à sa demeure, et vous irez au lieu que l`Éternel, votre Dieu, choisira parmi toutes vos tribus pour y placer son nom.

6. And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
6. C`est là que vous présenterez vos holocaustes, vos sacrifices, vos dîmes, vos prémices, vos offrandes en accomplissement d`un voeu, vos offrandes volontaires, et les premiers-nés de votre gros et de votre menu bétail.

7. And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

8. Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

9. For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

10. But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
10. "Mais vous passerez le Jourdain, et vous habiterez dans le pays dont l`Éternel, votre Dieu, vous mettra en possession; il vous donnera du repos, après vous avoir délivrés de tous vos ennemis qui vous entourent, et vous vous établirez en sécurité."

11. Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
11. Alors il y aura un lieu que l`Éternel, votre Dieu, choisira pour y faire résider son nom. C`est là que vous présenterez tout ce que je vous ordonne, vos holocaustes, vos sacrifices, vos dîmes, vos prémices, et les offrandes choisies que vous ferez à l`Éternel pour accomplir vos voeux.
11. "Dia hisy toerana izay hofidin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo hampitoerany ny anarany; any no hitondranareo izay rehetra andidiako anareo, dia ny fanatitra doranareo sy ny fanatitrareo sy ny ampahafolony sy ny fanatitra asandratry ny tananareo, ary izay zavatra tsara nofidinareo hatao voady ho an' i Jehovah;"
12. And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
12. "C`est là que vous vous réjouirez devant l`Éternel, votre Dieu, vous, vos fils et vos filles, vos serviteurs et vos servantes, et le Lévite qui sera dans vos portes; car il n`a ni part ni héritage avec vous."

13. Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
13. "Garde-toi d`offrir tes holocaustes dans tous les lieux que tu verras;"
13. Mitandrema mba tsy hanolotra fanatitra dorana eny amin' ny toerana rehetra izay itoeranao ianao.
14. But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
14. mais tu offriras tes holocaustes au lieu que l`Éternel choisira dans l`une de tes tribus, et c`est là que tu feras tout ce que je t`ordonne.
14. Fa any amin' ny tany izay hofidin' i Jehovah amin' ny anankiray amin' ireo fokonareo, dia any no hanoloranao ny fanatitra doranao, ary any no hanaovanao izay rehetra andidiako anao.
15. Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.
15. "Néanmoins, quand tu en auras le désir, tu pourras tuer du bétail et manger de la viande dans toutes tes portes, selon les bénédictions que t`accordera l`Éternel, ton Dieu; celui qui sera impur et celui qui sera pur pourront en manger, comme on mange de la gazelle et du cerf."
15. "Kanefa mahazo mamono zavatra sy mihinan-kena ianao, araka izay rehetra irin' ny fanahinao eny amin' ny vavahadinao rehetra, araka ny fitahian' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao izay omeny anao; na ny maloto, na ny madio dia samy mahazo mihinana azy ihany tahaka ny ahazoany mihinana ny gazela sy ny diera."
16. Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.
16. Seulement, vous ne mangerez pas le sang: tu le répandras sur la terre comme de l`eau.
16. Ny rany ihany no aza hanina fa aidino amin' ny tany toy ny rano.
17. Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:
17. Tu ne pourras pas manger dans tes portes la dîme de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile, ni les premiers-nés de ton gros et de ton menu bétail, ni aucune de tes offrandes en accomplissement d`un voeu, ni tes offrandes volontaires, ni tes prémices.
17. "Tsy azonao hanina ao am-bavahadinao ny ampahafolon' ny varimbazahanao, na ny ranomboalobokao sy ny diloilonao, na ny voalohan-teraky ny ombinao sy ny ondry aman' osinao, na ny voady rehetra izay nivoadinao, na ny fanati-tsitraponao, na ny fanatitra asandratry ny tananao;"
18. But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
18. "Mais c`est devant l`Éternel, ton Dieu, que tu les mangeras, dans le lieu que l`Éternel, ton Dieu, choisira, toi, ton fils et ta fille, ton serviteur et ta servante, et le Lévite qui sera dans tes portes; et c`est devant l`Éternel, ton Dieu, que tu feras servir à ta joie tous les biens que tu posséderas."
18. "Fa eo anatrehan' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao no hihinananao azy, dia eo amin' ny toerana izay nofidin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao, dia ianao sy ny zanakao lahy sy ny zanakao vavy sy ny mpanompolahinao sy ny mpanompovavinao ary ny Levita izay eo am-bavahadinao; ary hifaly eo anatrehan' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao amin' izay rehetra harin' ny tananao."
19. Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth.
19. Aussi longtemps que tu vivras dans ton pays, garde-toi de délaisser le Lévite.
19. Mitandrema mba tsy ho foinao ny Levita amin' ny andro rehetra iainanao eto ambonin' ny tany.
20. When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
20. Lorsque l`Éternel, ton Dieu, aura élargi tes frontières, comme il te l`a promis, et que le désir de manger de la viande te fera dire: Je voudrais manger de la viande! tu pourras en manger, selon ton désir.
20. Raha hitarin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ny fari-taninao, araka izay nampanantenainy anao, ka hoy ianao: Hihinan-kena aho, satria maniry hihinan-kena ny fanahinao, dia mahazo mihinan-kena araka izay rehetra irin' ny fanahinao ianao.
21. If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
21. Si le lieu que l`Éternel, ton Dieu, aura choisi pour y placer son nom est éloigné de toi, tu pourras tuer du gros et du menu bétail, comme je te l`ai prescrit, et tu pourras en manger dans tes portes selon ton désir.
21. Raha lavitra loatra anao ny tany izay hofidin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao hasiany ny anarany, dia hamonoanao ny ombinao sy ny ondry aman' osinao izay nomen' i Jehovah anao, araka izay efa nandidiako anao, ary hohaninao eo am-bavahadinao araka izay rehetra irin' ny fanahinao izany.
22. Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
22. "Tu en mangeras comme on mange de la gazelle et du cerf; celui qui sera impur, et celui qui sera pur en mangeront l`un et l`autre."
22. "Kanefa tahaka ny ahazoanao mihinana ny gazela sy ny diera no hahazoanao mihinana ireny; na ny maloto, na ny madio dia samy hihinana izany."
23. Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
23. "Seulement, garde-toi de manger le sang, car le sang, c`est l`âme; et tu ne mangeras pas l`âme avec la chair."
23. Kanefa tandremo tsara mba tsy hohaninao ny ra, fa ny rà no aina, ary tsy mahazo mihinana ny aina amin' ny hena ianao.
24. Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
24. Tu ne le mangeras pas: tu le répandras sur la terre comme de l`eau.
24. Aza mihinana izany ianao, fa aidino amin' ny tany toy ny rano izany.
25. Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
25. Tu ne le mangeras pas, afin que tu sois heureux, toi et tes enfants après toi, en faisant ce qui est droit aux yeux de l`Éternel.
25. "Aza mihinana izany ianao; mba hahita soa ianao sy ny taranakao mandimby anao, raha manao izay mahitsy eo imason' i Jehovah ianao."
26. Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:
26. Mais les choses que tu voudras consacrer et les offrandes que tu feras en accomplissement d`un voeu, tu iras les présenter au lieu qu`aura choisi l`Éternel.
26. Fa ny zava-masina izay anananao ihany sy ny voadinao, no entinao mankany amin' ny toerana izay hofidin' i Jehovah.
27. And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
27. "Tu offriras tes holocaustes, la chair et le sang, sur l`autel de l`Éternel, ton Dieu; dans tes autres sacrifices, le sang sera répandu sur l`autel de l`Éternel, ton Dieu, et tu mangeras la chair."
27. "Ary atolory eo amin' ny alitaran' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ny fanatitra doranao sy ny henany sy ny rany; ary ny ràn' ny fanatitra dia aidino eo amin' ny alitaran' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao, fa ny henany dia hohaninao."
28. Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.
28. Garde et écoute toutes ces choses que je t`ordonne, afin que tu sois heureux, toi et tes enfants après toi, à perpétuité, en faisant ce qui est bien et ce qui est droit aux yeux de l`Éternel, ton Dieu.
28. Tandremo, ka henoy izao teny rehetra izao, izay andidiako anao, mba hahita soa ianao sy ny taranakao mandimby anao mandrakizay, raha manao izay tsara sy mahitsy eo imason' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao.
29. When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;
29. Lorsque l`Éternel, ton Dieu, aura exterminé les nations que tu vas chasser devant toi, lorsque tu les auras chassées et que tu te seras établi dans leur pays,
29. Rehefa aringan' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao eo anoloanao ny firenena maro izay alehanao ka ho fanananao sady handimby azy ianao ary honina eo amin' ny taniny,
30. Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
30. garde-toi de te laisser prendre au piège en les imitant, après qu`elles auront été détruites devant toi. Garde-toi de t`informer de leurs dieux et de dire: Comment ces nations servaient-elles leurs dieux? Moi aussi, je veux faire de même.
30. "Dia tandremo ny tenanao fandrao voafandrika hanaraka ny fanaony ianao, rehefa voaringana eo anoloanao izy; ary andrao mamotopototra ny amin' ireo andriamaniny ianao ka manao hoe: Nanao ahoana no nanompoan' ireny firenena maro ireny ireo andriamaniny? fa izaho koa mba hanao toy izany."
31. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.
31. "Tu n`agiras pas ainsi à l`égard de l`Éternel, ton Dieu; car elles servaient leurs dieux en faisant toutes les abominations qui sont odieuses à l`Éternel, et même elles brûlaient au feu leurs fils et leurs filles en l`honneur de leurs dieux."
31. "Aza manao toy izany amin' i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; fa ny fahavetavetana rehetra izay halan' i Jehovah, no nataony tamin' ny andriamaniny; fa ny zanany lahy sy ny zanany vavy aza dia nodorany tamin' ny afo ho an' ny andriamaniny."
32. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
32. "Vous observerez et vous mettrez en pratique toutes les choses que je vous ordonne; vous n`y ajouterez rien, et vous n`en retrancherez rien."
32. "Izay rehetra andidiako anareo dia tandremo mba harahina; aza ampianao izany, ary aza anesorana."
